Robotech first, anything with Robots, second, the rest third. But to be clear, I'll play any Palladium setting. :D

Wormwood.

But I'd be hard pressed to pick my second favorite.

I don't care about canon answers. I'm interested in good, well-reasoned answers and, perhaps, a short discussion of how that answer is supported or contradicted by canon.

If I don't provide a book and page number, then don't assume that I'm describing canon. I'll tell you if I'm describing canon.

Palladium Fantasy. Followed by either Rifts or Nightbane.

Although when my wife and I was at the Detroit fanfare, Mr. Walton really sparked our interest in Splicers. I just have way too many other campaigns going on(three fantasy ones, a rifts one and working on a BtS/Nightbane/Chaos Earth one.) to even think about starting another campaign... We only have one other GM in our group unfortunately he doesn't get a lot of time and already has a Rifts and Fantasy campaign. We need more GMs... plus I could play more instead of GM. :P

im not sure if you know this, but you can run the game as a supernatural setting, and tweek it a bit to incorporate some super powers into the mix .... then you get the best of both worlds.... super powers and zombie killing

I like Rifts or Phase World as they basically encompass all the other settings. Except for a few exceptions an even those can have elements that are found in those 2 settings, present in Rifts/Phase World even if the entire setting isn't. Robotech, After the Bomb, Splicers, Nightbane for a few examples.

Rifts, because it's uniques and I can do anything with it or make a game for anyone.

I would also say Wormwood, but not too often. It's a unique and neat setting, but it's not for everyone or all the time.

I like Palladium Fantasy but that's just because I like Fantasy, PF doesn't bring anything special there except my familiarity with the system and I'm on the extreme minority there these days.

This thirty-eight year old man is not ashamed to admit that his favorite setting will always be Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangeness. It's the first RPG I ever played, when I was thirteen years old, and still my favorite. Rifts and Palladium Fantasy are basically a tie for second.

Rifts is #1 for me. Where else can you have a Glitter Boy pilot, a City Rat that is a transferred intelligence robot, a Head Hunter piloting a salvaged RDF Excalibur / UEDF Tomahawk, a d-bee ley-line walker, a wilderness scout with super powers, and a Great Horned hatchling dragon all in the same group.

DeadTOm wrote:This thirty-eight year old man is not ashamed to admit that his favorite setting will always be Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangeness. It's the first RPG I ever played, when I was thirteen years old, and still my favorite.

This 41 year old man is not ashamed to admit that this was the second RPG he ever played and it is still my second favorite. Turtles rule.

Third would be a mix of Heroes Unlimited and Nightbane. I love to take Century Station and have NSB agents & Nightlords walking the streets and Nightbane filling the cells on Gramarcy Island. Good times.

It is hard to say I have a favorite.
We play all of them.

My current campaign though probably explains it all. As part of the Minion Wars,
I created the second coming of the Rifts, merging the Rifts time line,
the Heroes time line, and a time jump to the beginning of Chaos Earth.

And poof, Parallel universe. going back hundreds of years.
And thanks to a world where the ley-lines were already active,
the surge created other oddities. Hence the cross over of Dead Reign
with Chaos Earth - PA2

And the characters are even more messed up than the back ground.

My Gen Con games this year, are an expansion on this campaign, and will affect
both my groups game, and future Gen Con events.

For me, it's a toss-up between Palladium Fantasy and Rifts. Both have a lot of rich content and compelling themes. Palladium Fantasy books tend to be higher-quality, while Rifts offers a wider range of settings.
