Off the top of my head, the fury beetle is in the Canada worldbook, and those cybernetics are in the Bionics sourcebook. The NG Sky King that was once in the main book is now in NG II. That's all I can think of off the top of my head, but it should all still be around.

What does this have to do with your friend wanting to play a Mystic?

it is possible to buy the RMB as a PDF at drivethrurpg.com i think. if not there, then somewhere.

there are a few other things that got left out in RUE... the monster generation tables, the various character option tables including (very minor) mutations that were apparently fairly common, and a table that certainly paints an interesting picture of how the average person in north america feels about d-bees and such things. and how to convert various things to techno-wizardry without adding a bunch of random features.

and a few other things, too. personally, i've never regretted spending the money for my PDF.

Yeah, like with the original dragons. Refer to the Conversion books for those, but they should somewhere consolidate ALL the dragons(including the RUE entries) in one place as well.

Wasn't the reason the old dragons (and other palladium referenced things) were removed from Rifts was to keep the franchises separate for licencing reasons.

It was a Techno-Wizard invention in the original main book. If you don't have the old main book then you'd have to use the Rifts: Ultimate Edition TW creation rules to bring it back in R:UE.

Would've been nice if the new stuff in RUE (fusionist, rifter, class updates, dragons, dragon combat table) were introduced in a smaller supplemental sourcebook to RMB, would've been smaller/cheaper and caused less confusion by changing so many well-established rules.

Rifts arzno has a number of TW power armor options which are quite nice.

NG2 also has battery options on many sets of power armor now. Even the chipwell stuff is not really awful if you are a guard of a town and can set it to recharge every night its perfectly fine if no frills. Its main issue is it is not really suitable for adventurers who are likely to be roaming away from steady recharge stations.

The NG batteries are better with 96 hour run time instead of 24 so pretty good even for extended patrol runs although still a bit more suited for defensive merc postings than offensive exploratory ones.

that all depends. if you have a single power armour or robot vehicle in your group, or even just a TW with a TW electrical generator, you can potentially recharge pretty easily.

also, 24 hours isn't that bad if it's not active 24/7.

depending on weight, you may be able to use another vehicle for travel, and only activate the suit for brief periods of time.

besides, most electrical or gas-powered vehicles have a range of a few hundred miles anyways... so if anyone in the group owns one of those, it's not like you weren't going to need to stop for recharge/fuel anyways.

It was in the Original TW write up. Like many of the TW write ups does not fallow rue format and was not converted. But neither was converted betties, energy weapons, vehicle engines, or common features list. (This can lead to problems when making a TW as he starts with items in rue that should have these features.)
The Clones are coming you shall all be replaced, but who is to say you have not been replaced already.

Soon my army oc clones and winged-monkies will rule the world but first, must .......

I may debate canon and RAW, but the games I run are highly house ruled. So I am not debating for how I play but about how the system works as written.

Someone oughta draw an ice dragon wearing a suit of mystic power armor riding a Sky King in honor of RMB's left-behinds.

My first RMB was a Silver HC, I used it for a few sessions and decided to buy the softcover and let that take the damage. Then later I bought 2 Gold edition HC from CJ Carella off of Ebay, held them for a few years and sold one (#20 I believe) of the pair for the price I bought the pair for. I also have a Gold edition RUE as well as the standard RUE HC but never use RUE at all.

IIRC The RMB Gold I kept is #19 and the RUE Gold is #109 so there is some symmetry there.
