Quick question...
If you read this, please answer with your opinion.
I hate it when people I know it's a crazy question, but it's worth addressing. Do globes of daylight bounce or are they "solid" if they hit or are hit by something?
I'm trying to get opinions, I know it like, all things, is GM's choice.

Re: Quick question...
good question! they could be nothing more than a globe of photons held by mystic energies and thus not solid, or they could behave such that the mystic energies create a vessel that would react to physical contact.
If a globe did react, I think it would return back to its 'assigned" position ( 10' high and 10' ahead of the caster for example )
but I think it being intangible makes more sense

The answer to Life the Universe and Everything is 42!!! but just what is the question? hmm . .

Greetings and Salutations. Since you want my opinion ...
When you "hit" a Globe of Daylight, the same thing happens as when you hit a ray of sunlight outside. So when the sun is out, go outside with a bat or sword or whatever, and swing as much as you like at the light and see what happens to it and then you have your answer.
In this case, the "globe or sphere" is a shape, not a physical object. It's not a ball or a glass jar, "it is daylight." Also, if it was an item you could grab, hit, etc., then it wouldn't have a maximum speed of 12. The caster is able to "mentally move" the globe, which means he's not just carrying it nor throwing it like a baseball at enemies. Light is not physically wielded, but controlled via magic.
Hope that helps. Farewell and safe journeys for now.

Re: Quick question...
Never thought of a GoD as anything but an area were light comes out of.
(same thing with the 'Lantern Light' spell.)
I could see someone making a 'Tennis Ball of Daylight' spell that could be thrown and bounce about.

May you be blessed with the ability to change course when you are off the mark.

Re: Quick question...
A Globe of Daylight is not (as far as I know) a solid object, so it does neither.

Re: Quick question...
As no sdc or hp are assigned to the globe I'd say they are intangible.

It depends on what the something is. It makes "true daylight" so anything that daylight could pass through (Windows, water to a certain point, and generally anything transparent it will pass through.
Things light can't pass through, no.. So can't send it through stone, wood metal, up the dragon's B-hole (where the sun doesn't shine).
It will reflect as well. So mirrors could be used to focus, direct it.
As far as if it's struck the answer is nothing will happen. It's neither solid nor has HPs so any physical attacks will pass harmlessly through it.
Hope this helps.

Re: Quick question...
Intangible light IMO.
Re: Quick question...
It is just light and doesn't have any physical form. You could pass your hand right through it.

Then we are all more or less in agreement, at least at this point in time.

Re: Quick question...
If you have Skyrim, I think of it like the Candlelight spell.
If you don't have Skyrim, then go get the PC version right now. Hit me back and I'll tell you a few of the graphics mods I use on it from the Steam Workshop,
