Leonard: "That would explain the bloodhounds piddling on my desk?"
Satori: "That would be Corporal Patz. Brilliant investigator, but ever since the ...accident...he tends to get a little incontinent when excited about something."
Leonard: "Why hasn't he been medically discharged?"
Satori: "We're a post-apocalyptic society, sir; we can't waste manpower or talent."
Leonard" "You're THAT hard-up for effectives?"
Satori: "Major Fredericks is my superior, sir. Does that answer your question?"

for some reason i'm now seeing the GMP as having their own equivalents of Sam Vimes, Nobby Nobbs, Fred Colon, Carrot, et all.

Morphic resonance for the win.

G.M.P officer two: "What?"
G.M.P officer one: *Holds a baggy of green* "I found "The Stash".
G.M.P officer two: "I thought it was a myth."
Nova: "Did you find an- Holy crap. Is that?"
Both officers: "The Stash."
Nova: "I thought that was a myth they say in the officers club."
G.M.P officer one: "Looks like old pimple head likes to unwind."
G.M.P officer two: "This stuff still illegal?"
Nova: *Looks through the handbook* "... It doesn't say."
G.M.P officer two: "Your ruling on this?"
Nova: "Don't know. Take it to "evidence" so we can "investigate" this further."
G.M.P officer one: "Good call sir."

Among many great moments, one of my favorites had to be when Carrot actually lets a pickpocket GET AWAY, then simply cuts through several back alleys, and sticks his arm out into the next main thoroughfare...and clotheslines the guy.
This, from a guy who initially stuck to the city laws literally and naively. But he just ABSORBED the city....

honestly, if leonard had a 'stash' i doubt he'd been as stressed out during the end stages of the 2nd robotech war.

that said, between his show behavior, and his appearance in the canon comics, i could buy him having a bit of a problem with Stimulants.. he seems the kind of person who'd have a tendency to work for long periods with little sleep. but i doubt he'd need anything illegal. heck, it may be he just main-lines Caffeine.

Dude must have gone through a couple pots of coffee a day. God help anyone who gives him decaff.

Plus know a couple pot heads back in highschool I'd doubt he'd be hitting it up during that time. Sometimes you have to have a clear head and know when and where to do it. Leading a war ain't one of them.

Robotech Documentaries Never Made:
The Forgotten Warriors----The Ice Guard Story
A film by S. Graham

"Given the choice between being assigned to a forgotten backwater rump-unit or accompanying a combat unit on a virtual suicide mission, I'll take the likelihood of a glorious and pathos-wrenching death...."

Later:
Ben Dixon: "Well, hello, what's an angle like you doing in a place like this?"
Wolff: "I saw her first!"
"Is it too late to change my mind and go with the rotting in a frozen backwater dump? Reincarnation?"

Well, actually...Toombs took exception when he learned there was an officer training film that cited him specifically and often as 'one of the things to be avoided at all cost". He thought it was libelous and obviously a crack at him pulled off by Roy Fokker.
Needless to say, the JAG ruled against him.

This too was actually made as an informal video making the rounds of Veritech squadrons, essentially as a precautionary 'this is how you can #### up".
The fact that the gun camera clips and black box footage were somehow synchronized to music and sound effects was regarded as curious....though Mauve Squadron members, once they realized who 'those losers in the film' were, found it just plain insulting, like aggravating an open wound.

It's a good thing Claudia never saw the footage of Cmdr Toombs shooting Skull One during the fight against Mirya's forces.
