There's a horrible thought, that probably belongs over in the crossover thread...If John Carter made such a splash on Barsoom, and he's ONE Earthman*...could you imagine the impact of, say...the 15th?

Okay, so JC had the advantage of coming from an age when sword fighting was just going out of vogue, but the 15th has more up to date military training, and are versed in giving each other mutual support..Give them a few days to adapt to Barsoomian gravity, different guns, and pick up the basics of sword fighting...even without Robotechnology, they'd be pretty effective....

*(ERB would later have ANOTHER Earthman also show up on Barsoom, in Mastermind of Mars, but the two Earthmen don't actually meet until the end of the book)
