Right now, with our public access computer systems down, and no IT relief in sight, I wouldn't mind being devolved to something that isn't likely to be bothered about 'when is the system going to be back up?!'

I'm officially killing off Whatley. Miskatonic's branch of Bureau 13 finally caught up with him back in 2015 and did him like his brother, with extreme prejudice and a healthy dollop of magically-enhanced pseudo-nuclear whupass.
He was an amusing Lovecraftian reference, but he became an increasingly lame fallback joke.
And while 'That is not dead which can eternal lie. And with strange aeons even death may die', immortality can become intolerable when you're rendered a bad schtick. With 'Daddy' refusing his calls, Whatley realized that maybe he was better off dead, than doing innuendo-laced farce in Hoboken.
