Howdy Folks.
Simple question. Can a character from C.E. be converted to Rifts ?? If so, What do I need to know ??
Thx in advance,

Re: C.E. character conversion
chaos earth uses basically the same ruleset as RUE and the same style of OCC's, so they can be dropped into Rifts no problem, no real rules adaptions required.
however since CE is the prequel to Rifts, you would need a good background as to how this character wound up 300 years "in the future" from where he started.
NEMA members too might attract a lot of attention in rifts, since their gear is generally better quality than even the CS's stuff, and they will have knowledge of NEMA, the golden age, and history in general that has been lost by the time of rifts.

Re: C.E. character conversion
Rifts Conversion Book 1 Revised addresses the conversion of characters from a high tech society i to Rifts. The Chaos Earth characters would fit that.
Zerebus: "I like MDC. MDC is a hundred times better than SDC."
kiralon: "...the best way to kill an old one is to crash a moon into it."
Temporal Wizard O.C.C. update 0.8 | Rifts random encounters
New Fire magic | New Temporal magic
Grim Gulf, the Nightlands version of Century Station
Let Chaos Magic flow in your campaigns.

Re: C.E. character conversion
Just have them wake up from the Aberdeen deep freeze as is. Maybe make a few skills like Lore, and languages updates like Euro become available as they adjust.

Re: C.E. character conversion
The simple answer is 'no'. The reason being that they are already ready for use in the Rifts setting.
The only "converting" you'd need to do is the same for any pre-rue chars, converting them to a RUE standard rules.
The part most different would be to the Modern weapons WP bonuses.
