There's a new Robotech comic book series on the shelves. New stories with classic characters.

I have one on the way, but has anyone read it? Any thoughts to share?
Anyone read the new comic?

Looks like a retelling of it with more updates stuff, like the Blackhawks, in it, and it looks nicely drawn to from the 3 pages that was shown.

I'll hold judgment till the second issue. Comics are just so short. I've read issue one and I'm not sure what to think. Some motivations for characters that we've come to accept over these years seem to have changed, or evolved in this new retelling.

Thanks for the feedback! I know previous comics and books were disavowed... I wonder if these new stories will be canon?

Re: Anyone read the new comic?
given what i've read in the sample pages so far, i think we are looking at a definite alternate reality. major story elements have been changed.
though HG may decide to canonize elements of the new one where it does not clash with the show.

Ah, what I dislike about this is the use of stock CGI images/designs from the internet as the basis of the art(such as the body armor)...it's a trend I've noticed happening all too frequently in sci-fi book covers as well.
