Re: 2021 Rifter Annual - Submissions Wanted
I would request one thing. No adds for "upcoming" PB gamebooks or ads for 'existing' PB Gamebooks. That is the one thing I didn't like about the regular rifters...the 1st 5-6 pages were just ads. I get those in my e-mails just fine every week.

Re: 2021 Rifter Annual - Submissions Wanted
What about material previously submitted that never received a response? Should that be submitted again, or should we assume that it was rejected and submit new stuff?

I'm inclined to polish my 3G adventure The Sevenfold-Soul Engine, but won't be disclosing any personal information. I'm uninterested in payment, save perhaps having a hard copy mailed to a friend's P.O. Box. Is that a non-starter?

you'll have to sign an unsolicited works pdf page. that has a name, email, and address on it. I imagine they won't be able to publish it if they can't at verify your info.

Re: 2021 Rifter Annual - Submissions Wanted
I submitted four articles last night. I had to re-send three of them today due to email issues on my end; I hope they will still be considered.
EDIT: Looks like the deadline has been pushed back to September 1st in the latest update. Cool. I just sent in two more submissions last night.

I got two small ones in on Tuesday. On retrospect, I wish I'd gone another way on one, but I think it stands as it's own.
How often do submissions actually generate rejection slips?

I've never had one from them (and I've sent them stuff they haven't published). I doubt they do so very often. Are you thinking that you want to post a rejected creation somewhere else or submit it to another company?

They don't send rejection slips, or even acknowledgements that they received your submission(s). I sent them stuff for the Rifter in the past, never heard back from anyone about it despite the followup I sent, and that's just that.

Kinda lame the least they should do is an automatic message for receiving the submissions.

Well, I made two submissions and received two boilerplate acknowledgements that my submissions had been received, and that if my articles would be chosen, contact would be made and contracts set up.
It's not approval of the my submissions, but it is professional, and I appreciate that.
Thanks, Wayne!

Unless, of course, said contract includes an NDA. Never having seen a Palladium contract, I dunno.

It's a *little* early for those to be flying out the doors just yet.
And unless they've changed their contracts (unlikely?) there is no NDA per se.

Unless, of course, said contract includes an NDA. Not worth squelching your chance at publishing to break an NDA.

From the Weekly Update:
I look forward to seeing the final product. I'm also intrigued at the prospect of some short stories; Tales of the Chi-Town Burbs is one of my favorite Rifts books.
Soul in Flames: A Rifts® adventure by Barry Wright that captured our imagination so much we put it on the cover!
The Colony of Gonarn: Sweeping location and adventure material for the Palladium Fantasy RPG® by Glen Evans.
Vehicle Encounter Tables: An awesome resource by Lloyd Blair for Dead Reign®, but also eminently useful for Systems Failure®, Chaos Earth®, Beyond the Supernatural™, and even Rifts®.
Beyond Midnight: Inspired by Boxed Nightmares, this combination of story, creature feature, and plot hooks by Dan Frederick includes adventure seeds for nine Palladium settings.
The Redeemer: What does evil-turned-good look like? This O.C.C. by Kyle Osterburg for Nightbane® covers just that.
Magical Collectibles: An array of unique arcane items by Christian Bonawandt for use with any Palladium setting.
The Glitter Boy Revisited: Two articles by Will Erwin that will have Game Masters and players alike taking a fresh new look at everyone's favorite chrome power suit.
Relics of Empire: New setting, history, and source material for Palladium Fantasy RPG® by Ian Herbert.
Plus: Short stories, news, coming attractions, product descriptions, and more.

What I didn't like about the recent update was, other than implying that it would be out this year there was no ETA given for the book.

I think this was covered in a previous update but it sounds like they have heard all the people that have complained about missed release dates and aren't going to give solid dates until it goes to the printer.
Can't please everyone I guess

Re: 2021 Rifter Annual - Submissions Wanted
When is this going to be added to the PB store?
May you be blessed with the ability to change course when you are off the mark.

It was slated as an autumn release. Rifters have historically had a fast pipeline, especially when the full-timers aren't contributing official content. That said, this is also 224 pages, the same count as a full-length book.
To my shame, I've also found a bunch of little writing errors going over the manuscripts I submitted. Inasmuch as they'll have to spend time combing through my manuscript and fixing those mistakes, I suppose I'll bear a portion of the responsibility for any delay.

Pre-order, but yes. The Weekly Update describes it as a winter release now.
