Halloween game

Did anyone else do anything special for the holiday? Or did your GM do something special?

In my game I had the PCs hanging out at a bar while their robot was being repaired. Then a local burst in and started pleading for help on behalf of his brother, a farmer. They agreed to help and he lead them to his farm. On the way there, the brother explained that his brother had used a scroll to summon a plant creature to help protect his farm but the spell backfired.

Arriving at the farm the brother leads him to a pumpkin patch with a scarecrow in the middle of it. Only the scarecrow turns out to be the brother, tied up to the post with numerous vines and even gagging him and preventing him from speaking. They rush to his aid, the first brother explaining that he had been up there for days.

Then part of the pumpkin patch stood up. It was a Plant Elemental composed of pumpkins and vines. The first person there is attacked with an entangle attack, which succeeds. One of the PCs is a Warlock and figures out that all that needs done is for the brother to release it from service. They spend a couple rounds fending off the creature while disentangling the brothers mouth and when finally freed he shouts for it to "get the hell out of there!"

The creature took that as a release and promptly went back to its dimension. The PCs then help the farmer down who thanks them for their help and asks how they knew he needed help. They said "Your brother came and got us!"

But when they look around, the first brother is nowhere to be seen and the farmer says "But my brother has been dead for two years!"
