Pixie Dust
Well, how in Dyvval does this thing work? It says, "Shrinks victim to half normal size for 3D4 minutes". Is there a saving throw? Can you dodge? Can you parry with something like a shield? If you are hit, does it shrink your clothes and equipment as well? What if something is in a backpack and isn't touched by the dust? Does it work on inanimate objects? Can you shrink a door? Does it work on someone with Reduce Self?

"Just a small question."

Re: Pixie Dust
works by magic
, No saving throw except dodge, id allow parrying with a shield but not a sword, only shrinks victim and not items, doesn't work on non-living.
I also play
1 dose is enough for 1 man sized being, wolfen would need 2, giants would need 3 etc.
not cumulative

Magic Powders: These are contact poisons and are sold by the ounce (2 doses).
Pg254 - magic powders. I'd give it a save, probably non-lethal.

I'm going to echo Franko, and say use the magic powders rules.
Or heck, be generous- a dodge against the "attack", and then a save against the magic. If they fail the dodge, but make the magic save, maybe a few good sneezes

Re: Pixie Dust
Its less obvious in the second ed book but in the first ed book the magic powders are on a page with other poisons and drugs, and all the others mentions a saving throw, whereas the magic powders are like potions and do not mention a saving throw.

Magic powders specifically says "these are contact poisons" (pg 254)kiralon wrote: Mon Jun 16, 2025 5:50 pm Its less obvious in the second ed book but in the first ed book the magic powders are on a page with other poisons and drugs, and all the others mentions a saving throw, whereas the magic powders are like potions and do not mention a saving throw.
But also, saving vs faerie folk is 16+ (page 184)
I'd find it completely reasonable for a dodge (or parry with a shield), and a save vs faerie magic if the dodge/parry fails

Re: Pixie Dust
Well, after reading the 2nd ed closer i would agree, it does say they are all contact poisons so would need a saving throw of 14 or higher to save against, even the ash and soot.
