Personally, I've got that thing for Draconids and silhouettes... I know there are better options for versatility or sheer power, but those are the ones that keep drawing me back

(exception, for hardcore tech aliens, I just love the Men-Rall from South America2)

Space wolfen. Since my fave race in Rifts is wolfen/ space wolfen. Silhouettes are rather neat also of course.
Eyes without life, maggot-ridden corpses, mountains of skulls... these are a few of my favourite things.

Interesting stuff Gadrin.

Does the fact that the Fire Draconid is mentioned as being able to become burster or fire warlock mean that the traditional LLW/mind melter options are closed to him? As to the Silver... I don't really follow : they have a predisposition for PCCs... but invariably become zappers? That seems rather contradictory.

Although I'm partial to the Space Wolfen, I'd have to give the nod to the Necron. They make great recurring villians in an ongoing PW campaign. (plus they remind me alot of the Yuuzhan Vong from the ESWU :ok: )

I love the Noro simply because of there close relation to humans and they're psionic abilities.

And they pretty much already have a book: Naruni Wave Two.

Gotta also go with the Blhaze for Skraypers. Just plain...powerful. I for some reason was reminded of Cosmo-Knights when reading their discription... :o I've just recently made one for a HU game, and it's worked out well so far.

Humans.

technically they are aliens in an alien setting.

But, to be honest, any race being explored more would be great. As far as favorite race to play, or whatever, the Gromek have a special place in my heart!!

The Necron do need to be developed further, if only to differentiate them from the Yuuzhan Vong from the Star Wars novels.

Hmmm....as far as "mortal" or "standard" races go, I'd have to say Elves. After all, there are at least (3) different kinds to choose from...all are relatively cool.

tHE K!oyzn or The Xodians from the Anvil Galaxy book. Just because they have no stats and they seem pretty far out from the rumours and pictures. I imagine the K!oyn to be masters of everything, super-tech, psionics, dimensional travel etc. The Xodians, I imagine to be like a massive collective of mystical alien robots, heavily related to the Holy Terrors (in fact I would put then in the same galaxy on Phase World where they originate from).

Man alive! From what stygian depths was this thread dragged?

I like the In'valians, though I've yet to use them.

Best race

Coolest race: machine people, hands down.

Can't you just picture how they move? Liquid metal. (Although the "circuit boards" underneath is a ludicrous idea that I ignore.)

My one question is... how come they come with no equipment, and how come they don't seem to have any special sensory stuff?

I always give mine equivalent to standard robotic, plus the chance to upgrade if he finds components. Nothing like nuking a bot and extracting/integrating for upgrades!!! Machine people rock if you are creative.

My favorite are Space Wolfen, and ones that I make myself. Wish I could post the one I'm working on now, but its a conversion of a certian underwater animal that you fight in a particular Extraterrestrial Combat Unit computer game
