Am I correct in assuming Chromium is a fake element or am I wrong?

What I want to know is what about this website makes you feel that Chromium's well-known place in the Periodic Table is a bit of fakery?

Oh, I understand completely. Rifts has been known to have that effect on my mind, as well. 8-)

I didn't know we were supposed to be versed in rudimentary chemistry. I was never good at it myself, and barely pulled through during in High School. Granted, I think it revolves on one's personal commitment, and the one teaching it. Saying that, all the science teachers in my school were wierd. My biology teacher's eye would twirl in it's socket at random times. My chem teacher had big jars of peanut butter all over her room at random. Think they served some scientific purpose? No. She just got the munchies and had some wierd cravings. No crackers. No cellery. Just her, the jar, and the spoon..

 Physics is easier then chemistry, i found. Guess it depends on the individual.

My high school was so poor that our periodic table only had 16 elements, all of them lanthanides... :-(

Just because they're named after Chromium, doesn't mean they're made of it.

The Silver Surfer isn't covered in silver, is he? What about Booster Gold? Is there really any copper on the outside of a Duracell? And what about Iron Man... y'think there's any iron in that suit?

Most of those are colors as well as metals. The very earliest version of Iron Man's armor certainly looked like it was made of iron, though I'm not entirely sure.

Chromium is not a descriptive term, so when it is attached to a noun it does indeed imply a chromium-based composition. Chrome on the other hand would just mean it was shiny and silver-colored.

I was looking at one the other day, but I don't see how a warlock is able to use them. I mean, there are no stats for any of the elements. Imagine sending a Plutonium Elemental after CS troops. That would be great, except once again Palladium mentions something and doesn't provide stats for it. :-x
