Wow, people take things to literally. Don't be so knee-jerk reactionary.
The Coalition Flag has a passing resemblance with the Nazi Flag, not just because it is red.

I can't recall ever seeing a CS flag anywhere. (the banners on the throne room in RUE notwithstanding.)
your best bet would be to bring copies of CWC and RUE to the tattooist and have a long talk with him about what you want, if he's any good he should be able to come up with a suitable design for a CS tat.

Palladium doesn't do royalties.
Palladium would buy the rights to your arm: lock, stock and barrel.
For all intents and purposes they would own that arm.
So Kev could call you up whenever he wanted and say: "Slap Yourself in the Face" and you'd have to do it.

Just a word of warning, and I don't mean to be a wet blanket. I'm a big Coalition fan and player, as my name would clearly indicate, but a Skull with Lightning Bolts is going to set off some major Nazi alarms with some people. Both were symbols of the SS, and although I know it's not an exact copy of any of their emblems, some idiot could always confuse them. That's my two cents, just wanted to issue a word of caution.

No joke on that one. I had a friend once who shaved his head and was accused of being rascist for months just because he hated his hair.![]()
You'd have to make very clear differences in order for it not be judged as a neo-Nazi thing.
Stupid people, grumble, grumble
I used to have -very- short hair and wear a U.S. military B.D.U. tunic. People kept calling me a neo-facist skinhead 'cause of it.
*shrugs*
I just hate crap like that. It is beyond irritating.

Why does everyone blame the Nazis for the Holocaust? There were Nazis before the war and all they wanted was a socialist government. Then Adolf got ahold of it (and was not even a single digit member, recall it was triple in the 500 area). So only Hitler and the SS should have those stigmas attatched to them. Blaming Nazis is like blaming Republicans for the occupation of Iraq.Mech-Viper wrote:hmmm sounds like the same partyZer0 Kay wrote:You know... What do you mean by that?? I don't like what the Germans did durring WWII to the Jews and anyone else they didn't like. I don't like what the U.S. did to the Japanese-Americans durring WWII either or what we did against the Indians, etc, etc, etc... That is an excellent point. Nice critical thinking.Seraphim wrote:Zer0 Kay wrote:Are you serious about the post count... why is that requried, that is silly.
Probably it is to help prevent spammers or people going in to stir up trouble. If someone has posted on the other pages, they have an interest in Palladium and they have proved that they can play nice with others. This is just my best guess...

Can't wait to get back home to Anchorage, AK. So... how about you. Can you beleive he/she/it thinks I'm trying to defend the SS/Hitler's Nazi Regime? Oh just thought of a better comparison. Hitler's NAZI regime is to the original NAZI organization what U.S. Democrats are to Democraci... absolutely noting alike. The Democratic party is supposed to be trying to advance...DEMOCRACY. What have they done toward that goal? Last I checked the Republicans have won since we're still a Democratic Republic and not a true Democracy. Of course I wasn't saying that Democrats are evil just that each later party wasn't doing what they were supposed to be doing.

Hmm no. I have wanted to get a tattoo of a dragon that is done across my back so that the wings would come off my shoulder blades. It would have claw hooks at the pinacle of each wing (like a bat's fingers) which would go over the top of my shoulders along with the top of the wing and interlink (like how Goliath does his wing fingers in Gargoyles) the dragons head would also come up over my shoulder and be looking outward from the center of my chest. It's forelimbs would be draped over the top of my shoulders so it runs down my upper arms and it's hindlimbs would be perched over my iliac crest (top of pelvis) and it's tail would wrap around my belt line. Some of the lower portion of it's wings would wrap around my sides and be on my belly and lower chest area. I guess I could use a Great Horned for the Dragon.Seraphim wrote:Zer0 Kay wrote:Hmm I thought all moderation deat was pretty quick. Well now I just have to figure what to put on my legs. I was thinking maybe some Dawn (charcter by Joseph Michael Linser) related tats for my lower arms. Probably a coiled chain around one and a rose around the other... it's a symbolism thing.Seraphim wrote:Zer0 Kay wrote:Hmm no. I love that effect! How is it either a cape or wings, depending. That would bea pretty cool tattoo.

No, if I had the power to move threads that would mean I was a mod, and nobody wants that, trust me.

As far as Rifts tatoos go, I think it would be totaly Uber-geek to get a bunch of 'tatoo magic' tatoos all over you body.
And it would be double plus uber-geek to play an undead slayer and have matching tats...

Yeah, that would be really cool. In a geeky way, which is the kind of cool I care about!
The only real problem (apart from getting 18-20 tats) is that you would have to have the body for it. Not too many pudgy, out-of-shape undead slayers out there.

I agree, didn't Kalinda move this to sound off already?
No, if I had the power to move threads that would mean I was a mod, and nobody wants that, trust me.![]()
As far as Rifts tatoos go, I think it would be totaly Uber-geek to get a bunch of 'tatoo magic' tatoos all over you body.
And it would be double plus uber-geek to play an undead slayer and have matching tats...
OW the bites he could inflict then.
Damn that would be funny as hell, but I think the matching tats would go from uber-geek to uber-dork.
Supernatural st + doggie teeth = ouch!
![Laugh Out Loud ](./images/smilies/lol.gif)
Yeah, the matching tats would be pushing it.
Of course Vin Diesel has his favorite D&D character tattooed on his arm, so that's cool.
Now if I can find someone who can do dog girls...
Personally, I think that we have a duty as role-players to try to anchor each other to reality a bit. To keep other gamers from being complete freaks and weirdos, or even psychopaths, if we can. Killer Cyborg

what is Vin Diesel's favorite D&D character? Please tell me he's a purist and doesn't do Hasbro's version. Oh and why not just take a full picture of the one you use for your avatar and go to Miami Ink?

IIRC it's a drow elf, don't remember what class though.
Getting a tat of my avatar is a cool thought, but kalinda looks more like this.

Ah going for the Anthrapomorphic instead of the tailless non-digitigrade legged mutant freaks from the CS? So, I'm female, and straight, but wow is Kalinda hot! I'm singed...
You know it's interesting to note how more readily a female will mention another female is hot... how does one judge hotness of another if they are not attracted and this in essence it the basis of hot?

Yup, I'm a tail male, I admit it.
In my games dog boys have tails, but the CS crops them when they're young to make armor fitting easier. thus only freeborns have tails. There's also a random mutation that has about 60% of dog boys growing human like hair. the CS doesn't like this because it makes them look more human, so they make their troops shave their heads. It's a point of pride among ferals and freeborns to wear their hair long.
The CS has been on doc bradford to 'fix' the gene that causes the hair, and he claims to be working on it, but he really doesn't give a flying toss about it and has been ignoring the memos.
and yes, Cheetah is hot.![Big Grin :D](./images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
