I voted general TW gear because it's so versatile, but I prefer high tech gear upgraded with TW in general.
The word "THAN" is important. Something is "better than" something else, not "better then", it's "rather than" not "rather then".

Well...considering you even put the Kingdom of Tarnow in there...I think your list is extensive.

and I went other since I generally like home-spun stuff that is within a reasonable power level with the part of the world I would be in.

but I always outfit when possible with Kittani K-30 Ion Rifles and KEP-Special Pistols.

My character steers clear of magic equipment except for a few techno-wizard mods on armor. I also won't use anything from the splogorth for obvious reasons. other then that I use whatever works.
Personally, I think that we have a duty as role-players to try to anchor each other to reality a bit. To keep other gamers from being complete freaks and weirdos, or even psychopaths, if we can. Killer Cyborg

Edit: oops, didn't see the Phase World option on my first go through.

Depends on setting, availability and the character's personal style.

Hard to say in most of the games I have been in the players and myself get their equipment from a variety of sources.

If it's stupid and it works. It's not stupid

Palladium can't be given a free pass for criticism because people have a lot of emotion invested in it.

Pathfinder is good. It is not the second coming of D&D.

Surshot is absolutely right. (Kevin Seimbeda)

When I step out of line the mods do their jobs. I don't benefit from some sort of special protection.

Naruni gives me the best bang for my buck. Thus they have become the #1 retailer to my group. Too bad I've made them so scarce... :demon:

Unfortunately, 80% of everything you listed is rare and should only be accessable in certain areas/continents. If you have a colorado vagabond, he really shouldn't be able to find Kittani/Atlantis weapons, Russian/Chinese weapons, and such. Generally I rule that if you're in North America, you can only have North American (and usually Triax too) weapons. However, aquiring them from gaming isn't against any rules, for there are always ways to find rare/expensive weapons.

My character recently picked up that repeating laser that Free Quebec has, had it modified with the grenade launcher from the new CS pulse lasers, and powering it with a NG power pack. I've been itching to use it, but our combats the last couple of game days haven't lasted long enough for me to fire off more than 4 grenades.

CHIPWELL FOR THE WIN!

Actually, they are winners in some ways. As is GAW.
If you look at their equipment and cost per MDC, they are a much better deal than the big guys.

You can buy several suits of EBA or PA from the little guys and swap them out when they get damaged beyond repair. But buying and keeping a suit of Naruni armor will cost you an arm and a leg.
