You seem to be Freaking out about "How ingodly powerful" the CS is and that Splynn should be freaking out as well. If they don't then, in fifty years the CS will get em!

Rallen... Dude... I don't know how old you are but, i've been hearing of "War" almost every day of every week of every month of every season of every year of ever decade of my life.
I've seen wars played out time and time again (and i don't even really study the stuff like the Vast majority of peeps here on the boards) and I find the idea of war (Therefore) very boring and Not very frightening. At this point If war comes my way then, either I fight and win or I die, big whoop that was going to happen anyhow).

Now imagine that YOU ARE SPLYNNY.
You've got TRILLIONS of ultra advanced UBBER-Soliders, tech that's the BOMB, you control PLANETS, you have been in or started Thousands upon Thousands of wars, YOU yourself are a god, you've got a RUNE item for everything (A rune sword of mass slaying, a rune Canon of Mass Devistation, a Rune Wand of Wind Waking, a Rune Arm band of telling people what to do and having them listen to you, a Rune Universal Remote Control, and a Rune Back Scratcher). You have Vast Armadas of Sea going WARSHIPS that would PAWN the Whole of the New Navy+NGR+Naut-Yill+The CS (whats left of its navy)+Queebecs navies in a standup fight. YOU'VE GOT Armadas of SDF-1 Sized SPACE WARSHIPS that can level planets from orbit that you can port in on a dime. You've got NUKES, 50KT Fusion hand grenades, and, oh yeah, you own a WHOLE CONTINENT ON THE EARTH THAT IS ALL YOURS !!!

One thing that seems to get left out is that for the moment Splynn does not care to take over the planet. For now. Nothing says he will not change his mind at a later date. Do you think Splynn will just wait around and allow the CS to become unstoppable. Not that they every could really so much as inflict minor dmage on him. Splynn has one great advantage. Unlimited resources across the board. If he wants something removed from the planet all he has to do is point. I think some poster read that Splynn does not care about conquering the world and assume he never will. Rifts Earth is a gold mine. He sure as hell is not going to give it up or allow himself to be pushed aout by what amounts to be puny mortals.

Yes and no. No because of the fact that he would like to control it someday. Yes that he does not care about conquering Rifts Earth because his time tables are so long ranged that several generations of elves could be born and pass away before his plans are put into action, and thus in the scope of the current time line, no he does not care about conquering the world.

I can think of several things I would do to defeat the CS, assuming I had the resources to do so.

1. Mechanoids: I'm not sure why nobody has ever mentioned these bad boys, but a WING on one of their mother ships is the size of North America! That same wing has four BILLION MDC! They could stomp all over the CS, Splynncryth, and the Megaversal Legion! They frickin' well dismantle stars to make their power supplies for God's sake!
2. Vampires: In three days you can convert entire populations into brand spankin' new vampires that will cover the land like nobody's business. "Oh? You shot me with a laser? I'll let you know if I ever decide to notice."
3. Xiticix: These puppies are a nice conquering swarm. How many gajillion of them can you bring forth?
4. EMPs: They rely all too heavily upon technology, and not everything of theirs can have a Faraday cage protecting it.
5. Germ warfare: Their populations mostly live in walled (or maybe enclosed) cities. How long does it take for a slow breeding but fast transmitting bug to kill them all?
6. Dominators: Three or four of them could pose a serious concern for the CS. Splynncryth might even find it interesting.
7. Gene Splicers: Need I say more? Alter the genes of a select few people so that they breed true, but after five or eight generations, a 'sleeper' gene pops off and they turn into some horrid monster. They could also engineer a disease or about a hundred other things to hose the CS.
8. A big group of high level warlocks could do some serious damage to them. How do you detect (and stop) an earth elemental that is 200' beneath the surface of the earth? 500'? He can go as low as he likes. What if he simply destabilizes the ground underneath Chi-Town until it ultimately falls into a sinkhole? How do you detect the air elemental that's 1000' in the air? He's out of the range of dog boys. Hell, alter his aura and he's not seen at all. He can get *IN* to Chi-Town and wreak some serious havok before popping back to his home dimension. A water elemental with a similarly hidden aura could sneak in and demolish all of the sanitation facilities for Chi-Town. How long is it livable at that point?
9. The obvious answer of Splynncryth has already been brought up.
10. Cosmo knights...a lot of them...come to mind. Considering that they're pretty well immune to energy weapons and the CS is pretty dependent upon such, I'd say they could do OK.
11. The Transgalactic empire would be an interesting deus ex machina.
12. Maybe ole Karl Prosek pissed off the wrong guy at Naruni Enterprises. God only knows they have sufficient power to make North America a safe place. I bet they could even render St. Louis a relatively safe place, if nothing else they could do so by the simple expedient of denuding the entire planet of each of the 22 (?) locations to which the Gateway Arch leads.
13. Airborne hallucinogens released en masse near CS military outposts could significantly reduce the effectiveness of the military and allow for a conventional attack to succeed. A crop blight would also be helpful.
15. Start kidnapping soldiers and putting magic tattoos on their chests...then let them go near the CS cities. Do this thousands upon thousands of times.
16. Start putting explosives in rats and then 'summon and control' them and blow up half the city by setting them to the same radio trigger. Teleport away immediately before the detonation takes place.
17. Through naked force, one could unleash hundreds of nuclear missiles and rather directly bomb them into the stone age.

If one removes the protection Kev gives them, there are scads of things one can use to take out the CS.
