Well, actually...Toombs took exception when he learned there was an officer training film that cited him specifically and often as 'one of the things to be avoided at all cost". He thought it was libelous and obviously a crack at him pulled off by Roy Fokker.
Needless to say, the JAG ruled against him.

This too was actually made as an informal video making the rounds of Veritech squadrons, essentially as a precautionary 'this is how you can #### up".
The fact that the gun camera clips and black box footage were somehow synchronized to music and sound effects was regarded as curious....though Mauve Squadron members, once they realized who 'those losers in the film' were, found it just plain insulting, like aggravating an open wound.

It's a good thing Claudia never saw the footage of Cmdr Toombs shooting Skull One during the fight against Mirya's forces.

Ya, he wouldn't have lived long, and they won't have ever found the body.

Soon the bridge door is forcefully opened startling everyone. There in the entrance a Mauve Pilot, smoldering from friendly fire, is frothing out the mouth.

Pilot: *Points at Claudia* "YOU!"

Lisa: "Uh-oh." *side steps away from Claudia*

Pilot: "I don't care for your petty revenge, BUT LEAVE THE REST OF US OUT OF IT! FIRST AND ONLY WARNING!" *Slams the door with enough force to shake the bridge*

Claudia: "..."

Lisa: "Don't know who's more in trouble, you or him?"

Gloval: "Yebena mat'! Did anyone feel the heat off that guy?"

Sammie, Vanessa, and Kim proved that there WAS a distinct advantage to being near the back of the bridge and close to the bulkhead door...

Actually now that I'm thinking about it didn't the bridge have a separate window from the bowl? Same with all the other rooms in that little tower in the SDF-1.

Best interpretation of this situation was a mini-cartoon in the DYRL lineart that showed Skull-One smashing backwards into the bridge 'eyeball', spider-cracks all over, "WARNING!' blaring on all the screens(and there's a LOT of them), and all the bridge bunnies on all the platforms panicking. Gloval is hurdling his chair in an all-out sprint for the rear hatch, with his pipe still in his mouth, showing major haul@ASS form....

Current canon on the Gravity generators is actually that one of Dr. Lang's team figured out how to tweak the artificial gravity for the decks to use less power (something about not having to hold giant crewmen down), which let them rechannel the energy into the lifting parts.

so basically, they let Tim Taylor** add "More Power!" to their gravity drives, with predictable results..

**actually a technician stationed on Mars named "Karl Riber" came up with the idea, apparently :) Invasion, Issue 3, Pg26

Lisa Hayes: "For those of you new to bridge operations support, please be aware that, contrary to malicious rumor and misogynist fanon, we bridge crew do not have 'to watch our figures' with regard to our calorie and caffeine intake when on duty, given that we more often than not have to work long, anxious, workshifts under duress, with little knowledge of whether we will have opportunities to have proper meals, or indeed see the next day or work-shift, and thus we tend to be very proprietary about acquiring sustenance of any sort."
