Just want to say I greatly appreciate your work on this map, sir. It's very helpful to my own efforts.

Cheers!

Very nice map, but if I recall, the hives in Manitoba are south of Winnipeg, and expanding away from the city, not towards it...which makes the write-up I have for the area useable!

Both are in Missouri.

Kingsdale on the southern border, Whykin in the southeastern corner.

Fantastic job, I wish there were more accessible sites and maps with this kind of quality.

Gonna try to ask this again (I've PM'd the author but not sure he's still working on this/blogging at all).

This map is great. There are a few things missing from the newer books, but otherwise, it's the best reference ever, and often leads one who may be quite well versed in Rifts to learn about new things, or remember old things, or see things in a new light. The town of Blackberry may be one such amazing new thing of light.

In the map, along the Ohio river, in southern Ohio, is a town called Blackberry. It's near Bloom. Bloom is probably placed based on a guess by the author. That's totally cool. I know where Bloom comes from (Madhaven). There is also a Black market base near Cincinnati that does not appear on this map (he probably did not use the Black market book at all). Also totally cool. I know what should be there (and last I checked it wasn't called Blackberry).

I cannot find any hint of a town called Blackberry. I have come to the conclusion that this town is either an invention of the author (that he put in his map because it is his map and he should put such things there), or it is an optional town from a Rifter, or it is the greatest source of hidden lore in all of Rifts canon.

My own campaign background/world/story/whatever occurs very close to that area, and so far canon has done nothing but provide character and depth for my story. The more the better.

Perhaps it is right under my nose, but my nose is big. Please help me see. Please.

Is there a PNG file for V1.6 so GM's can update it with their own creations for cities and towns? That would be great thanks!

I am of the opinion Imgur is a much better host:

Aside from the fact you can't pick your file name.

Dang, the v1.6 map link is broken. Apparently it's been removed from Dropbox or to a different link. Did anyone save it?

That does, thank you. My brain apparently translated everything below the long line as part of the signature text.

I would assume that the CS has simply moved into the US Navy's Naval Education and Training Center Great Lakes, in Waukegan, Illinois. I spent 6 months in that place, and have a handful of great memories, and many more I'd rather not revisit (basic training) at that place. A bit too flat for this Georgia Boy.

I've got a condo right across from Abbot Labs on 43. Almost anywhere north of the city and south of Kenosha would be good for a training base.

You're back!

Please, help me. Where does the town called "Blackberry" on your map in Ohio come from? Is it from a book? From your own campaigns? It is one of the great mysteries of my life.

You can find "Blackberry" referred in Rifts Merc Ops Sourcebook pg. 23 as
a small rural tow, near the old Ohio/Kentucky border.Blackberry is a modest town of about 300 humans and D-Bees dedicated to agriculture and woodworking.

I love these maps, but for quickly computing distances without zooming in and out to find cities and then consult the distance key, I would also find it very helpful to have a text list of Rifts names with real world names. For example:

Lazlo = Toronto, Ontario
New Lazlo = Ann Arbor, Michigan

Then if someone is traveling from city A to city B I can have Google Maps tell me the distance from Ann Arbor to Toronto and do my travel time calculations using my campaign obstacles and encounters. Plus it just helps me locate things on the map since I don't have an encyclopedic knowledge of where the cities all are.

Has anyone compiled a list like this? I would figure something like it was used to build the maps.
