Extensive biomods...not to mention it pressing into the brain cavity...But pain is part of a Splugorth slave's lot, and after much experimentation, I'm sure the biowizards have found ways to suppress the pain or work around the difficulties and obvious shortcomings of human anatomy....

Just imagine a pair of those in place of your eyes. Imagine how disfigured you'd be.  :?

Yeah, that is true. Imagine the blinders you could put on some of those.

Those are the big panels on the outside of some of those carriage drawn horses.

Yeah. They are on the outside of the horses eyes to keep them focused on the way the coachman wants them to go.

yeah, I'm sure you are right about that. It keeps them from being interfered with during their races.

Though I recall one horse who jumped the rail and took a shortcut(greyhounds are better known for this stunt)......Unfortunately, racehorses are so abyssmally overbred I'm afraid they're something of nitwits who are easily distracted....Like domestic turkeys...

Yeah, but forward synchronized eyes are a characteristic of predatory species(for the most part)...

Hmmm....wonder if you were making a war mount with biowizardry and gave a horse a third eye(or Eylor) covering that blind spot directly in front(provided the horse didn't go mad)...?

Posted: Sat Jan 27, 2007 5:20 am

Yeah, I think your right about those horses and the way they are bred.

First of all, if I'm doing biowizardry mods on horses, is to reinforce those leg bones, and build in some major regeneration abilities...no more 'shoot the dumb animal because of a leg infection'.....MY horses will either laugh at infection, or simply jettison the damaged leg and grow a new one...

On the plus side, no worrying about horse thieves....
or supplementing your horse's diet with treats....

And that firebreathing option looks so intriguing....

That would make an intriguing horse Taalismn! I know several people who'd like to have horses like that!

So with Biowizardry we can create a slew of 'False Demons'...have the prestige of owning a demonic mount without the discipline issues associated with keeping in thrall the real thing....

As Barbaro proves...horses are just too fragile....

Which is why my first order of business is to crossbreed horses with giant pumas, with superior megadamage bones, limb regeneration, and the ability to communicate with caretakers(hey, if an injured dog can make his way to an emergency room...).

Or else find somewhere in the Megaverse there would likely to be horses raised since their creation in a magic environment. I know I have a type of horse in some of my own worlds that would be considered a MDC creation.

So we also need EoE housings with space maneuvering capabilities...I'll have to check what spells could be applicable for repairing starship hulls and the like...

Brittany actually had some talent before Celebrity Corruption set in...that fungal rot of the nervous system that sets in, causing atrophy of the brain, a backing up of the gastrointestinal tract, and the stiffening of the skin into a plastic imitation of life...

Paris juts had money and parents who didn't ship her off to a military camp to toughen her up....

Hmmmm....Rifts Earth...Possible site for a finishing school for the brats of uber-wealthy in other dimensions?

"YOu don't realize how GOOD you got it with just canned foods you can buy anywhere and a spoon to eat the stuff with, and a safe place to eat it in, until you've spent a week dodging vampires, bandits, sandworms, possessing entities, and trigger-happy Deadboys in Nevada!!!"
