Yep. Besides, can you, in all honesty, tell me that it wouldn't be a terrifing sight for P.C.'s to see a mutant Plesiosaur that has armour come skimming across the water to attack them?

I present to you, the latest member of the Insectisaurs:

BombaSaur (Chimera)
Original Animal Characteristics:
Description: The Bombasaur is another strange creation of the mad scientist that created the rest of the Insectisaurs. When he was deciding on what creatures he needed to create for his massive army, he came across the idea for combining the insect DNA of the Bombardier Beetle with the saurian DNA of an Anklyosaur to create a creature that had the toughness and durability of both the Anklyosaur and Beetle along with the chemical spray of the Bombardier Beetle to create a massive, walking, living and breathing weapon that could shoot its payload with ease. The scientist in effect created a living “tank”. The first version of the Bombasaur was an extreme failure, since once it had come out of the E.G.G. it had proceeded to go on a rampage through the labs before it exploded, sending burning chemicals everywhere. This “minor problem” was then fixed in later models.
Size Level: 23.
Length: 36 feet long, 5 feet tall at the hip.
Weight: Up to 8,100 lbs.
Build: Short.

Mutant Changes and Costs:
Total BIO-E: 0.
Attribute Bonuses: +4 P.S., Beastly Strength, +6 P.E., -3 I.Q., -4 Spd.

Human Features:
Hands: Automatically None.
Biped: Automatically None.
Speech: Automatically None.
Looks: None & Weird: Looks somewhat similar to a normal Anklyosaur except it had an exoskeleton covering most of its body, also where the normal Turtle-like shell appearance is on a normal version of the dinosaur, it had a single large, thick plate on its back. It also has a small hole at the end of the tail, which could be positioned to point anywhere (even above the body) to shoot out its potent burning chemical spray. It also had a pair of mandibles on either side of its mouth in order to help it to eat. It also has a third set of legs (due to the insect DNA) in order to let it keep itself steady when fighting or eating & walking.

Natural Weapons:
Automatically gets 1D6 damage Beak.
Automatically gets 1D10 damage Horn Projections and boney forehead.
Automatically gets Extra Limb: 1D8 damage Mace Tail.
5 Bio-E for Extra Limb: Advanced Mace Tail: This allows the tail of the Bombasaur to be able to swing in any direction, including over the back. The armour on the tail is smaller and more jointed then it normally would be.
10 Bio-E for Extra Limb: 3D6 damage Mace Tail.
10 Bio-E for Chemical Spray: This does 1D10 damage when ever used. It comes out from the end of the tail, either from underneath the Mace-like end or from the middle of the Mace-like projection itself. It can be combined with the swiping action when attacking.
15 Bio-E for 2D6 damage Chemical Spray (Special): This is a special ability that can only be purchased when the Gut Fermentation Disadvantage is taken since the gas from the fermentation process enhanced the damage potential.
15 Bio-E for Horn Defense. A.R.: 13, +35 S.D.C.

Mutant Animal Powers:
Automatically gets Light Natural Exoskeleton Body Armour: A.R.: 10, +30 S.D.C.

15 Bio-E for Extra-Heavy Natural Exoskeleton Body Armour: A.R.: 19, +85 S.D.C.

Vestigial Disadvantages:
Automatically gets Colour Blindness.
Automatically gets Diet: Herbivore.
Automatically gets Prey Eyes.
-5 Bio-E for Nearsightedness.
-5 Bio-E for Diet: Herbivore: Gut Fermentation.
-10 Bio-E for Reptile Brain: Prey.
-10 Bio-E for Vestigial Tail (Negates taking the Mace Tail).
-15 Bio-E for Reptile Brain: Predator (Can only be taken for the males of the species).

And here is ANOTHER Insectisaur, for your enjoyment:

Scorigasaur (Chimera)
Original Animal Characteristics:
Description: The Scorigasaur is a truly unique creature in many ways. It is a Combination of a Stegosaur and two different species of insects, namely the Earwig and the Scorpion. When first created it had a more insect-like appearance, but the scientist who created it had decided to put more of the Stegosaur DNA into it, but left more then enough of the two insects DNA in to give it a VERY predatory streak to it. Thanks to the Earwig and Scorpion DNA, it is a highly and deadly hunter.
Size Level: 23.
Length: 34 feet long, 10 feet tall at the hips and 3 ½ foot tall spines on its back.
Weight: Up to 7,200 Lbs.
Build: Medium.

Mutant Changes and Costs:
Total BIO-E: 0.
Attribute Bonuses: Brute Strength, +9 P.S., +2 P.E., +3 P.P., -1 I.Q., -5 Spd., +15 S.D.C.

Human Features:
Hands: Automatically None.
Biped: Automatically None.
Speech: Automatically None.
Looks: Automatically None & Weird: This creature look like a Stegosaur, but has a more insect-like appearance (when compared to the rest of the Insectisaurs). It has a large body with a double row of plate-like projections running along where its spine should be, a long neck that ends in a small, blunt insect-like head, and a long tail that ends with five spines (one on the tip and two on either side of the tail) that are used for grasping/pinching (like the Earwig) and stinging/injecting poison (like the Scorpion). It also has an extra pair of legs. It has a (relatively) thick shell that runs along its back and over the limbs.

Natural Weapons:
Automatically gets 1D4 damage Mandibles.
5 Bio-E for Extra Limb: 2D6 damage Spiked/Pinching Tail.
5 Bio-E for 2D6 damage Stinging Spike.
10 Bio-E for Extra Limb: 4D6 damage Spiked/Pinching Tail.
15 Bio-E for Paralytic Poison (Must purchase the Stinging Spike): This allows the mutant to inject the poison through the hollow Stinging Spike at the end of the tail.
20 Bio-E for Deadly Poison Venom (Must purchase the Stinging Spike): Does 5D6 damage directly to the Hit Points.

Mutant Animal Powers:
Automatically gets Extra Limb: Legs: Adds the ability to not be knocked down easily (as shown from the P.P. Bonus).

And I present to you all, the flyer of the Insectisaurs:

Taratanudon (Chimera)
Original Animal Characteristics:
Description: The Taratanudon is a Insectisaur that was created in particular as a flying fighter/spy that has a VERY unique physiology amongst the group. The Scientist that created the Insectisaurs had looked for a good creature for flight and decided on the Pteranodon for the Dinosaur side of the Insectisau DNA and choose the two most dangerous species of Spider for the Insect half: the Black Widow and the Tarantula Spiders.
Size Level: 7.
Length: 7 feet tall with a 35 foot wingspan.
Weight: Up to 65 lbs.
Build: Medium.

So far I'm really liking the Insectisaurs - But:

Do you have any plans to expand on where they come from? i.e. who made them and when and where (pre or post Crash?)? Some background would be cool, and help to provide ideas on how to work them into an adventure.

Well, I'll try to flesh out most of the needed info out, but as to WHEN the Insectisaurs were/are being made, they were/are being made Pre-Crash. As to HOW to add them to a game, you can place it in any secluded area on any of the continants or even on a secluded island a' la any James Bond movie.

Anybody done Mutant Ticks yet? I've had enough of the non-mutant kind, and the little bastards are nasty...tough too...the big ones take some serious killing to get rid of...The small (deer) ticks are insanely small and all the nastier for being Lyme Disease carriers.
A giant, and/or intelligent blood sucker?
It's the stuff of nightmares...

If nothing else, I could see some unscrupulous biotech firm in the pre-StB universe creating the little monsters as bioweapons, or, lecking the imagination of their competitors, coming out with the little monsters to sabotage their rivals("So what if you have giant insect-dinosaurs?! Our arachnovamps can &**%&ing drain those brutes dry, and for cheaper, too!")

Well, Here's some new stuff for all of you, just to tide you over until I've got the next set of Insectisaurs:

History & creation of the Insectisaurs:

(This part can be adjusted to fit into HU2)

When Genetech and the EGG’s were first created, many people thought that it was a very high achievement. After a few years of it being on the market, many people started to create their own life-forms. For better or worse, the world was changing at an astonishing rate. One day, a top level government scientist was in his lab, trying to create a type of super soldier and spy by creating a virus that, once inside the body of a creature and enhancing certain qualities. But what he didn’t, is that a spy from another country had stolen the data from the lab and sabotaged most of the equipment and computer systems.

When he finally went in and started working on the experiment, he accessed the files of the Super Soldier Programs, which then exploded, literally, in his face and covered him in chemicals and seared into his skin with flames. The flames and chemicals destroyed the lab and the majority of the equipment and most of the files. When the government employees finally found the scientist, they took him to one of the many secret medical units in order to allow him to recover. As he was recovering, the chemicals and new genetic material, that was now flowing through his system, began to mutate him so that his knowledge and intelligence grew, along with enhancing his healing ability, while at the same time driving him insane.

When he finally managed to get out of the hospital, he found that he was basically out of a job, due to the amount of damage to the lab and the rest of the building he had worked in. So he had to go on with his life. After about two months of living life as a civilian, slowly using up the money that he had saved up from work, until he was on the last little stretch of cash. But, by the time, he had thought up a way for himself to get back to the way of living that he was used to, Through the use of his now higher intelligence, and thoroughly insane, he restarted his Super Soldier research.

But, instead of creating a virus that would change a person into a Super Soldier, he instead decided to go in a totally different direction. He quickly researched into two subjects that always held an interest for him: Entomology (study of insects) and Palaeontology, particularly in the are of Palaeo-Biology. After a large amount of research, he was able to create what he called the Insectisaurs. After he finished up all of the necessary information gathering, he started to go to the government and military to show them the ideas that he had, but to no avail. Where-ever he went, he always got turned down. The excuse that the government was that they weren’t too sure that the creature could be controlled, and that they were too unusual for even the government and military to even consider.

After being turned away, after the sixth time, the scientist disappeared, only to reappear about two years later, with the first examples of his Insectisaurs, the Wasptor and the TriceRhino. When he arrived at his destination, he let the Insectisaurs loose on a major population centre ( can be any major city). It took the military a long time to find the two creatures (simply because they kept moving around the city) and destroy them. But, by that time, the scientist had vanished again. Eventually, the government found out where he was hiding, which was in a deep sea habitation bio-dome located on the shelf of the Pacific Plate. The scientist was forced to release the other versions of Insectisaurs that he had created during the time that he released the two member species and the time that he was discovered.

(But this part SHOULD be kept for AtB2):

After a large battle, the government soldiers were forced to evacuate all of the injured soldiers. At which point, the governments of the world were forced to destroy the Bio-Dome using multiple nuclear strikes, but not before they stole they data for the creatures that the, now dead, scientist had created. They proceeded to study the information that they had gathered and found that the scientist had created the schematics for different species of Insectisaurs. But before they could start putting the creatures into mass production, they only created about one hundred of each species (50 male and 50 female) of Insectisaur, the Crash happened.

Here's another fine addition to the Insectisaur group:

Garrisaur (Chimera)
Original Animal Characteristics:
Description: The Garrisaur is the Insectisaur version of the navy. When the scientist wanted to create a something that could move both above AND below the water of lakes, rivers and oceans. After awhile of searching, he decided on combining a Plesiosaur with a Water Strider. He had to work extra hard on the Garrisaur, simply because some of the insect DNA had problems joining with the dinosaur DNA. After awhile, he finally managed to create the perfect version of it. Once finished, the Garrisaur was released for experimentation. The Garrisaur was able to walk along the surface of the water until it wanted to either get close to the position for attack or see’s something that catches it’s attention below the surface, at which point, the Garrisaur dives below the surface of the water. It can NOT stray away from the water too far, otherwise it’s oil-based water-walking ability starts to get dispersed and clogged by the dirt.
Size Level: 23.
Length: Up to 50 ft. long, not counting the neck. 55 ft. with the neck.
Weight: Up to 7,500 lbs.
Build: Long.

Mutant Changes and Costs:
Total BIO-E: 0.
Attribute Bonuses: -4 I.Q., +10 P.S., Brute Strength.

Human Features:
Hands: Automatically None.
Biped: Automatically None.
Speech: Automatically None. 10 Bio-E for Partial: Extremely guttural, but still understandable, can be purchased only to allow it to make vague reports.
Looks: Automatically None & Weird: The Garrisaur looks vaguely like a Plesiosaur, but has chitin-like armour covering the body, six insect-like legs spread out along the body with two sets below the flippers with one set in the middle of the body. The Garrisaur’s flippers are 50% bigger then on a Plesiosaur, the neck is shorter by about 3 feet and it has 2 insect-like eyes above the normal eyes, which are a combination between multifaceted and normal eyes. Also, the Garrisaur’s head is shorter and more blunt and ends in a short, almost imperceptible, snout that has a single row of keratin on both the lower and upper jaws and has a pair of grasping mandibles on either side of the mouth. The insect-like legs can fold up along the body, in specialized grooves in the armour, to allow for a smoother swim when in the water. Where there are breaks in the chitin, to allow for movement, the muscle is showing beneath a thin layer of scaly skin.

Natural Weapons:
Automatically gets 2D4 damage row of ridge-like Keratin.
5 Bio-E for 3D6+2 damage row of ridge-like Keratin.

Mutant Animal Powers:
Automatically gets Swim Skill at 85% underwater.
Automatically gets Extra Limbs: Receives 6 insect-like limbs situated along the length of the body, but situated underneath where the paddle-like limbs are.
Automatically gets Lunge Ability: This allows the Garrisaur to thrust out its neck in order to attack any enemies within striking distance.
5 Bio-E for Advanced Smell.
5 Bio-E for Light Natural Exoskeleton Body Armour: A.R.: 7, +10 S.D.C.
5 Bio-E for Predator Burst.
10 Bio-E for Advanced Taste.
10 Bio-E for Hold Breath.
10 Bio-E for Medium Natural Exoskeleton Body Armour: A.R.: 10, +20 S.D.C.
10 Bio-E for Walk-on-Water Ability: This allows the Garrisaur to walk on the surface of the water, without breaking the surface tension by a combination of secreting a oil-based substance from the tips of the insect-like legs and the fact that the insect-like legs are spread across a wide area.
15 Bio-E for Multi-Limb Coordination.

Vestigial Disadvantages:
Automatically gets Hollow Bones: This allows the Garrisaur to float and swim easier. Negates anything higher then Brute Strength.
-5 Bio-E for Color Blindness.
-5 Bio-E for Diet: Carnivore.
-5 Bio-E for Nearsighted.
-10 Bio-E for Reptile Brain: Predator.
-10 Bio-E for Vestigial Tail.

Just to let everyone know, after I finish up the last Insectisaur, I'm going to try to do up the following prehistoric Creatures to haunt your nightmares:

Cerrejonemys Wayuunaiki: a type of prehistoric turtle that lived in South America, with a thick, bulky shell.
Dracorex hogwartsia: A type of Pachycephalosaurus with a weird horned & crested
Head.
Prestosuchus Chiniquensis: a Pre-Dinosaur predator that hunted the world, before the dinosaurs.
Therizinosaurus: A large, bipedal dinosaur that was omnivorous. It had long, sharp, sword-like claws on medium-length, thinly built arms.
Trilobites (MAYBE): The little, Pill-Bug like animals that used to live and roam the oceans.
Pristichampsus: A type of prehistoric Crocodile that could walk on 2 legs for a limited amount of time.
Leviathan Melvillei: A large Whale-eating Whale, that was the size of a Sperm Whale nd shared the Prehistoric seas with Megalodon.
And the one creature that will give ANYONE nightmares, the Balaur Bondoc: It was the “kick boxer” of the Raptor family (when compared to the speed of the Velociraptor). But, other then it’s bulky appearance, the other thing that set it apart from the rest of the Raptor family was that it had not one, but TWO sickle-like claws on EACH foot.

Here's the last Insectisaur that I envisioned for you all:

Phyllocephalasaurus (Chimera)
Original Animal Characteristics:
Description: The Phyllocephalasaurus is an Insectisaur that is a combination between the Pachycephalasaurus and a June Bug. The scientist, when he the created the creature, wanted to have a creature that could ram through anything, and was too stupid to disobey his orders (thanks to the June Bug DNA).
Size Level: 19.
Length: 15 feet long, 4.5 feet tall at the hips.
Weight: Up to 1150 lbs.
Build: Medium.

Mutant Changes and Costs:
Total BIO-E: 0.

Looks: Automatically None & Weird: Looks similar in appearance to a Pachycephalosaurus, but has thick, bulky chitin that is a muddy brown in colouration. The muscles and sinew are revealed through gaps in the chitin, while the dome-like structure on the top of the head is thicker, and more powerfully built in appearance. It has a second set of smaller arms about midway down the body, and it has a set of small antennae above the eyes, looking like a pair of eyebrows. The armour on the head and neck have a series of projection and indentations that can allow the Insectisaur to ram any enemy that is placed in front of it.

Natural Weapons:
Automatically gets 1D6 damage Bird Talons on the hands.

Here's a new Worm mutant that was presented to me as a challenge:

Worm: Squidworm
Original Animal Characteristics:
Description: The Squidworm, also called Teuthidodrilus Samae, is a newly discovered species of worm that lives in the deep ocean (about 1.7 miles down) in the Celebes Sea, located between the islands of Indonesia and the Philippines.
Size Level: 2.
Length: 9.4 centimetres (3.7 inches).
Weight: 2 Ounces.
Build: Long.

Mutant Changes and Costs:
Total BIO-E: 80.
Attribute Bonuses: +1 P.P., +1 P.S.

Human Features:
Hands: Automatically Partial: Tentacles function as Partial Hands.
5 BIO-E for Full: Tentacles develop branches at the ends that function as full hands. Must be purchased for each set of hands.
Biped: Note: This creature has 10 tentacles, like a Squid.
None: Uses all it’s tentacles for locomotion.
5 BIO-E for Partial: Four of it‘s paddle-shaped fins become larger and stronger, capable of supporting the characters weight. The remaining limbs may be used to hold weapons in combat.
10 BIO-E for Full: A single pair of paddle-shaped fins become strong enough to support the characters weight. The animal now has developed torso, and all remaining limbs maybe used to hold tools or weapons or hang limp at the characters sides.
Eyes: Automatically Partial: Has a pair of lens that act as primitive eyes that filter only light and shadow.
5 Bio-E for Full: Eye develop so that they can now take in colours and shapes.
Speech: 5 BIO-E for Partial. 10 BIO-E for Full.
Looks: None: Looks like a large, strange worm. Long, tubular body composed of flesh rings that has paddle-like projections on either side, the front ends in a bulb-like head with 10 tentacles (two that are long and loosely coiled and eight that are as long as the body). Skin is pale brown in colour. Has a basic set of eyes that are pale in colouration, due to living in the deep sea.
10 BIO-E for Partial: The mutant develops a rough face in the general shape of a human and surrounded by ten tentacles (the ones that are NOT being used as arms are now smaller), as well as a humanoid body structure. It still has two rows of paddle-like projections going down the body (namely the ones that are not being used as les). However, the skin is still the same pallid colour as before, and besides having a rough facial shape still has basic eyes.
Looks: Full are NOT possible.

Natural Weapons:
None.

Mutant Animal Powers:
Automatically gets Worm Skin (Special): This ability allows the character to breathe through the tentacles.
10 Bio-E for Multi-Limb Coordination.

Almost done the next mutant. I'm also gonna TRY to do up a new set of Vestigial Disadvantages, along with new Mutant Animal Power. Both of them will be for use for land and air-based Dinosaurs (but they can be adjusted for other mutants as well with little adjustment).
