Leucrotta (Chimera)
Original Animal Characteristics:
Description: The Leucrotta is a creature from myth and legend of the Indian sub-continent. Pliny the Elder wrote about it in his largest and most well known work Naturalis Historia (Natural History). It was said to have a few unusual characteristics, the most unusual of which were a mouth that stretched from ear-to-ear and the fact that a single bone-like projection is where the teeth are on the upper and lower jaws. It was said to be the result of a mating between a Hyena and a Lioness. After the creation of Gene-tech and the associated sciences, a general of the Indian armed forces decided that there should be a creature that could strike terror into the enemies of the country. So he went to the head of government and the heads of state in order to suggest the idea.
After some consideration, it was decided that they would go ahead with the project. At which point, the government put the General who came up with the idea in charge of the project with an unlimited amount of money forwarded to it. After much deliberation and searching, the researchers finally decided on the Leucrotta.

Penguin: Water King
Original Animal Characteristics:
Description: The Water King Penguin is a species of Penguin that lived about 36 million year ago. It once roamed the area that is now the Atacama Desert of Peru in 2007. After awhile of studying the fossils, some DNA was extracted for hopeful recovery in the future. Once gene-tech was eventually released to the general public, some unique entrepreneurs decided to open a park featuring both animals from the ancient past and animals from myth and legend. The Water King was one of the first to be created for the park. But before the park could even open, the Crash happened and changed the world. As the animals proceeded to mutate, a few of the human handlers, all of whom were of Mayan and Aztec decent, decided to return and start teaching the newly sentient animals the ways of survival in the new world.

Here's another bird for you all:

Bird: Polarornis
Original Animal Characteristics:
Description: The Polarornis is a species of prehistoric bird. Some thought that it was a species (or sub-species) of Early Loon. But the classification is still in debate. But, due to the fact that the fossils that were found were dense, it is/was thought to be a “diver”. The fossils of the Polarornis were originally found in the Lopez De Bertodano formation (dated to the Late Cretaceous period of about 65 million years ago) on Seymour Island in Antarctica. When the technology of Gene-tech finally became widely spread, some Palaeontologists decided to end the debate and recreate the creature through cloning. It wasn’t until the first member of the recreated species hatched from a modified E.G.G. that it was found to be a primitive form (a intermediary if you will) of Loon and Gannet.

Don't worry, I'm going to be doing PLENTY of interesting new mutant *chuckles while rubbing his hands together*. They will certainly be of..... Interest for the "Game of Pain" over on the Cross-Over thread. Also, Duck-Foot, maybe you SHOULD do more mutants. You used to be such a challenge for me to try to out do. But I don't really think that anymore because you haven't done any new mutants as of late.

Here's another mutant for you all:

Dinosaur: Raptor Rex
Original Animal Characteristics:
Description: The Raptor Rex is a species of primitive Tyrannosauroid species that was found in North-Eastern China, and dated from125 million years ago during the early Cretaceous Period, in the lower portion of what is known as the Yixian Formation. When Gene-tech and E.G.G.‘s was brought out for public use, Palaeontologists decided to study the Genetic history and evolution of certain species of prehistoric animals. One of which was the mighty T-Rex. After various studies were done, some researchers (those who studied dinosaurs and had gone over to work for Mesozoic Land) decided that they wanted to have some variation on the more common dinosaur species (I.E. T-Rex, Raptors and so on). They took the various studies that were done for the different species, and started to recreate the more primitive forms of the animals. The Raptor Rex was one of them, which proved to be a VERY hard earned success.

Well, I just finishe TWO new AtB2 mutants for you all.

And since it seems that Duck-Foot is NOT doing any new stuff (like he PROMISED) here's the first:

Reptile: Avicephala
Original Animal Characteristics:
Description: The Avicephala was a species of reptiles that had skulls that mimic the shape of bird skulls. A few subspecies even appear to have had pointed, toothless, bird-like beaks. The main differences between Avicephala and other species is the fact that the Avicephala has what appears to be laterally-oriented rib-like rods, which supported membranes and may have been used to glide from branch to branch.
The Avicephala is one of the creatures that was brought back to life using the Gene-tech. But as more were brought back, it was discovered that they made excellent pets. After awhile, the Avicephala was sold on the open market. They became as popular as frogs and turtles.

The Champsosaurus is one of the species that was brought back from extinction in order to add to different nature parks and preserves as attractions and subjects for study in natural habitats. When the Crash happened, the Champsosaurus (along with all the other animals) started to mutate into sentience. Here's a third mutant for today:

Reptile: Dakosaurus Andiniensis (A.K.A. Godzilla Shark, Godzilla Fish)
Original Animal Characteristics:
Description: The Dakosaurus Andiniensis is an extinct species of Crocodile-like creatures that lived from 157-137 million years ago (a duration of roughly 20 million years) during the Late Jurassic. It’s fossils were found in England, France, Switzerland, Germany, Poland, Russia, Argentina and Mexico. It was a massive animal that people thought that lived mainly in water and was thought to have mated and gave birth to live young mainly at sea due to the fact that no fossilized eggs or nests were found. This creature was one of the many water-based species of animal that was brought back for study and possible pleasure (mainly in hunting and entertainment like water parks similar to Sea World). Most of the parks that had these animals were on the coasts of the continents, so when the Crash happened, the creatures managed to escape through the canals that fed water to the parks. They then became pirates and buccaneers of the oceans, living on raiding any coastal towns that they found.

Once it was brought back, through the use of Gene-tech, it became one of the more interesting creatures to be exhibited in the parks and nature reserves of Germany. Once the Crash happened though, and the animals started to mutate including the Henodus), the Henodus became known as strong river, lake and swamp warriors that became known to be strong and fair fighters that protected any and all creatures that were in the area that they considered to be their home.

Well, I've got some interesting news for you people. The mutant that I'm creating right now (or at least ONE of them anyway) is going to be a doozy for those of you who're hoping to have something for a long running campaign that involves global domination of the world in the future. The creature is (HOPEFULLY) going to be a nasty piece of work. My suggestion, though, once the creature is revealed, that you use it as mainly the main group of villians in your game.

Rathorc Lemenger,

P.S.: As a side note, it's kind of heavy on the religious aspects due to what it is. But once you see it, I'm sure you'd understand what I mean.

And here it is:

Human: Homo-Infernicus
Original Animal Characteristics:
Description: About a year after the skeleton of the skeleton of the Angel was found, another skeleton was found in a cave that was half a world away from where the Angel skeleton was discovered. This skeleton could not be more different from either normal Humans or the “Angels”. In fact it was so different that when first discovered, the people thought that it may have been some type of alien being. Once the skeleton was fully uncovered, it was found to have characteristics of what could be considered to be the “classic” Demon or Devil from different religions. Upon further in-depth studies of the skeletal remains, it was found that it was also, just like the Angel remains, to be a variant of human. But a variation that was taken to the extreme due to differing environmental and climatic changes.
Once news about the new discovery got out to the world at large, there was mass panic in many cities across the globe. After about a week of civil unrest, the governments of the world and many of the main religious leaders (including the Pope in Rome) called for the people to calm down. But, about two months after the mass riots had calmed down, a group broke into the storage facility of the museum that was holding onto the remains for study and stole the remains. The group (which was a different group from the ones who stole the Angel skeletal remains) had left a note where the remains were kept that said that they were seizing the remains for themselves so they can bring about the coming of a “Hell on Earth”.
After a two month world wide man hunt, the group was located, but unfortunately they didn’t have the remains with them. The leader of the cult told the officials that they will never be discovered because, once the group had extracted the needed DNA from the remains in order to clone the creature. The leader then told the official that they had destroyed the remains so they couldn’t be studied anymore. The leader then told the people who were interrogating him that the group had impregnated a number of women through out the world with the cells of the being so they can finalize the plans that were starting to come together after many years of waiting and preparing. The leader then told the official that, by using the beings once they had reached adult-hood, they were going to become the main rulers of the planet and all the people would bow down before the “Children of the One True God”.
