Um, yeah they're huge, but how does one pounce attack from a Battler equal "Krunch" (implying instadeath?) The pounce does 80 MD at max damage 160 if a crit hit. But I wouldn't think the fight's over. Even if the GB gets pinned.
Edit; I neglected to take the dang thing's weight into account before! Dispite our GB's considerable strength, if the big bug landed on him, he wouldn't be able to move, at which point as my friend pointed out... Krunch! Though I think more with mandibles than initial impact.

Setting the scene: 2nd session for party, gnome thief who rides a big wardog had really annoyed the party. Gives the dog a command and the party spell caster decides to screw with him throwing fresh cooked bacon in front of dog (not well trained yet) with a "here puppy".
-Enraged gnome player: "What oh that does it!"-last words-"I slit it throat".
-Parties heavy: "I roll for initiative verse the gnome." wins, swings HUGE war maul, nat 20, rolls max damage, gnome had no armor or anything on at the time...I rolled for distance of the punt as other players made golf jokes. (Side note, dog lived with rest of party for 3 in game, not real time, years until was finally retired with his own little quarter acre plot of land with staff to oversee his every need. Weird but fun party)
Second last words from a different party and game: "Its just a squad of coalition troopers. They're like the lemmings of rifts earth and about as useless." (for note, I'm a former infantryman and an army officer and play trained troops as trained troops not mindless gun thugs.)

I have two
One from a D&D game gone wrong, the young merchant prince had sent out a group of adventures to reclaim his missing fathers sword from a group of frost giants they had 3 weeks before he would lose his throne and the Chamberlin would take over
The chamberlain being a "nice guy "gave the party some scrolls to help them on their way so long story it's cold and the party's wizard has an idea to sculpt out a hollow spot in the side of a mountain about 30 feet wide so they can stay warm. Well after he seals them in and makes a chimney he looks over the scrolls with first one is explosive ruins he fails his save and sets off his necklace of fireballs all five .... From the giants roost they see a gout of flames shoot out of the side of a mountain
Wizard: let's see blah blah explosive ruins ohh....
Giant:whoa guess we should tell the king there's a dragon over there
And the greatest one ejecting out of you vf-1 and shooting at the two pods that shot you down
Me:yeah you thought you got me but this pilots still got teeth -Pew pew pew
Pods:frem!!!
Gm:roll up a new one
