I love the Preacher OCC. I usually kind of tweak it so it's more CS friendly, but hey.

Ya I'll give it a turn, I'll have to roll up a new character though the City rat I was gonna use has been snatched up for another game.

just to clarify for you atomic ray, i don't think he's running rifts converted to SDC, i think he's running rifts with the characters starting off low-powered and with not much in the way of MDC tech/powers.

I'm still in, looks like people are revamping their characters. I may draw up the idea I had a while back for a reporter rifted in from the 21st century.

Well, like I said this will start in an urban setting and most likely stay that way for awhile. I prefer to run four players so the game runs at a nice, smooth clip. A complimentary variety would be nice. Maybe some type of city rat style character, a tech savvy character, a beefcake like a crazy or a mutant, and perhaps some type of psychic. I am open minded, I just don't want to end up with a ridiculous group assembled from the ends of the megaverse.

I've decided I'll stick with the character I posted below. A hard gambling "delivery boy" who knows his way around a city and a gun.

Not a bad Idea. You are all going to start off as roommates in unfamiliar territory. It would probably be best if you all met in this city, perhaps responding to the same ad about a house for rent or you could have all met up before. I'll leave most of that to you guys. Still waiting to hear from Mechanurgist.

Atomic Ray wrote:(upon approval from the GM)

"Doc" or A-1

He will tell you his story, he is not ashamed of his origins, how can one be ashamed of where you were created? For 0201034-A1 it was a lab. As part of a government research project A-1 was a subject in a chemical education program. Series of nanites carrying packages of data that were absorbed in key sections of his brain. Memory cues were also installed to help the brain associate the data with experience. With extensive therapy and training A-1 was able to come to terms with the process and was the only one of the group test to be released as he cleared all the testing without failure. He can come across as odd because he views the world with an analytical approach. He finds humor in the world around him but tends to laugh on the inside.

Of all the knowledge package cues it was the medical sciences that aligned the cleanest with his brain and in the end his mind. The science and medical aspects seem to put the uneasy elements of being a subject of an experiment, it made sense to him.

The physical training was an interesting mix of disciplines from yoga to high wire walking. The tests favored some of the other test subjects and after a point he lost contact with those that excelled in the PT projects as they were moved to a different location.

When exposed to cybernetics and bionics A-1 bloomed again, seeing the potential for repairing the ravages of the violent world; which he was exposed to due the implanted memories.

In the end he was a 13yr old kid with the maturity, experience, knowledge, and memories of a 50yr old. To account for this paradox, A-1 has taken cosmetic steps to age himself to fit the man within.

It has been 13yrs since he left the lab. He returns when he is able to report his successes and failures, as he knows the experiment is not over.

He finds it odd that people find his name difficult to grasp, but for him it is what it is...but he will answer to "Doc", A-1, 0201034-A1, or other as he is fairly tolerant...but he does find the names that other people take or have to be interesting and worthy of note.

As Quinn is very interested in cybernetics as well we could also have meet on the way to a medical convention or something of that nature. Quinn has several NPC acquaintances whom already have implants, dependent on if you're a practicing doctor or not they may have introduced you as their surgeon.
Jack and Quinn are extremely similar characters as we are both free runner "package" delivery boys so it's likely we met on the job at some point or training.

I would suspect not at all...gotta ask Pike.

BIBBI is in as per the player list posted by Pike on page 2. BIBBI, I suggest using Atomic Ray's original idea for a meeting with my character, as a Vagabond gambling away his meager savings, whilst trying to set himself up financially for a few more days, fits pretty seamlessly into the flavor of the OCC.

You all live in a run down four bedroom house between a liquor store and a crackhouse. You have electricity and running water but the wiring and plumbing is shoddy at best. There is a bar on each corner of your side of the street. Across the street is a tattoo parlor, a garage, and a pawn shop. You are in a neutral zone between two rival gangs. The Trogs: a d-bee gang that specializes in illegal drugs and a protection racket, and The Fist: a group of human supremacists who make there money running a gambling and prostitution ring. You are in the slums. If there are any further questions let me know.
