the cybersamurai are the enemies of the oni ninja. as in feudal japan the samurai are the elite fighting force fighting with honor and for honor. the ninjas well do ninja things and with the awesome abilities offered by the occ a mechanical version would never come close to being as effective. not to mention the occ can be learned by non oni. so one oni ninja on a human planet teaching humans this space ninjutsu would be a great rival for the mystic ninja and the techno ninjas, ninja crazies, ninja juicers and the infamous ninja borg. a three clan battle set in a high tech setting. hmmmmmmm i might have to create a campaign about this all ninja battle royale.lol

you
do realize the first ninja were just special ops trained samurai? and that the whole mythos of the ninja/samurai rivalry is a fictional construct of the 19th and 20th century european-centric media?

the way i remember it being taught a ninja was a skilled peasant a guerilla operative until takagawa hired the ninja clans as his personal guard. samurai werent always good men and the okinawins have hundreds of stories of early karate masters killing them without weapons to protect the innocent. jussayin

part of the 'ninja' mystique that has little basis in actual historical data. the actual historical documents back up the 'samurai class special operative'.
there were actual non-samurai fighting groups (which in modern times we'd call "gangs") which formed to fight samurai and protect communities from the occasional ronin bandit group, but these were little more than secret militia's. historically they are more the ancestors of the modern Yakuza.
most post-19th century groups claiming to represent the ninja have latched onto these groups though as a way to turn what was a military tradition into a 'popular' one by act of retcon. portraying the ninja as a non-military group fighting against a military regime made them more palatable to outsiders. the fact that european observers and media never knew the original origin helped in that regard.
as for the tokugawa's bodyguard, there were indeed drawn from the Iga and Koga clans, but these were samurai clans which had at the time been specializing in the covert operation side of the samurai traditions. the records make a distinction between the men hired as body guards, and the commoners occasional hired to serve as spies in surrounding regions. these were unrelated groups.
you have to remember that 'samurai' is a social class, not a job description. it included the mounted archers most people think of today by that name, as well as the foot soldiers, the scouts, the body guards, etc. those who were not from that social class, the warrior class, were not allowed to claim job titles originating from that class. so when the records make a distinction between the samurai classes and the peasant classes regarding recruitment and use, they tend to be very specific.

I'd assume you could plug in just about any spacefaring OCC/professional class into their IDF, making the appropriate cultural alterations(if any), a little imagination and commonsense, and GM approval.
Military organizations are by nature HUGE operations, including not just the frontline fighters, but all of the support personnel and associated subcontractors doing the scut work of keeping the guns working and the ammo coming. You just can't narrow the focus to two or three OCCs, unless your military is REALLY going down the tubes(or has total IDIOTS running it).
I wouldn't be surprised to see versions of the HackRat computer nerd or Rogue Scholar working as computer technicians or supply clerks.
Use your imagination(and real world examples).
