After weeks of digging through the rubble of the collapsed building his pick finally strikes metal. The man hurriedly adjusts his lights to get a better look and sure enough it's the top of a metal door. The man grins in spite of all the dust choking his lungs and shouts "they all said I was crazy but I knew that map was real". He spends another two weeks painstakingly removing the rubble carefully to avoid a cave in to reveal the garage door in it's entirety. Miraculously the door still functions, the man opens it and shines the light inside. The man's light pans over a sign reading "Welcome to the movie/tv vehicle wing of the museum". He sees row upon row of vehicles in various states, some rusted, some with pieces falling off of them, everyone covered in dust. As begins to walk down the path, he passes a large black van with a red stripe on it before a pulsing red light catches his eye. He walks towards this rhythmic red light and finds himself in front of a black car. He places his hand on the hood and feels the ultra smooth finish, "Hello Michael" greets the car? shattering the silence of the room. The man takes a few steps back turning his head this way and that continuing the search for his prize. There, towards the back of the room he sees it, mounted on a raised circular platform it gleams like a bright orange flame in the near darkness. The man smiles as he walks towards it, there it sits mint condition, not a single speck of dust on it. The man smiles, climbs in the open driver's window, keys the ignition and the engine roars to life!

Year: 1969
Make: Dodge
Model: Charger R/T

Vehicle description: A pre Rifts vehicle from the muscle car era. Two door, 4 speed powered by a magnum 440 engine. The vehicle is painted bright orange, has "01" on the doors and the confederate flag on the top and a tan interior. It comes equipped with a set of push bars, c.b. radio, American Vector 10 spoke turbine wheels.

MDC - Unlimited
Fuel type - gasoline - the vehicle has a fuel tank of gas and it never runs out.
Top speed - Unknown, always just fast enough to catch someone/avoid someone as per the situation requires.

Known Abilities:
Legend tells of a vehicle that can out maneuver/race any pursuers, never takes damage, never runs out of fuel, so powerful that the tires can squeal even on dirt roads and can jump large distances with ease.
The doors don't open, forcing the driver and any passengers to climb through the window. It comes equipped with a C.B. radio, that appears to have no limited on range and a musical horn. Whenever the vehicle is being driven occupants feel compelled to shout "yee haw", slide over the hood and they swear they can sometimes hear a voice narrating the things they are doing in the vehicle. The radio appears to only play two songs, Good Ole' Boys by Waylon Jennings and The General Lee by Johnny Cash.

Ok so this one is a bit of a joke, maybe something out of rifter 9 1/2, but it is something out of American legend/folk lore, lol

Looking for bigger artifacts?

The preserved remains of the CS Hunley.

Alternately, the turret of the USS Monitor.

Several re-enactors who have stood guard duty in uniform claim they've had their uniform buttons and other details 'corrected' by ghostly hands when they dozed on watch.

True story. At least the story part anyway.

Never experienced anything like it myself, but I can verify that dozens of reenactors have told me similar stories. I did see a pair of minie balls, some old paper, and some remaining grains of powder that one guy claimed he was given by a "really authentic guy" who was handing out extra cartridges. When he thanked him, he looked down, and the rounds crumbled in his hands. When he looked up, the man was gone and he was left with these two disintegrating cartridges.

If you subscribe to stuff like that, in game terms, you can say the bullets can be used against entities like Wraith Brigades even though they are physical bullets. Plus, you can find thousands of spent bullets on the battlefields like Gettysburg. Perhaps they too can do damage to these entities. Like, they killed them once...they can do it again.

I was under the impression the BAR is .30-06. Was his modified? I know it was cut down to aid in concealment, but was his modified for .50? (seriously asking)

Sorry, I was wrong. I was going on memories of what my brother told me when he cleaned it up and fired it a year or two ago for the NRA. He was talking about firing a 50 caliber also, and I messed that up in my head. I did not do my research and was just quickly fishing off memories.

For the MD, I was going on the point that they were known at the time for vast superior firepower against the police they were up against (until the end).

Legend has it that if a roll of authentic duck-tape and a swiss army knife from Pre-Rifts NA (spent some time there) are ever brought together there isn't anything you can't jury rig up (so long as you have the necessary skills and parts) and it will work every time when both items are used in the job. This doesn't seem to work with post-cataclysm replicas for some reason. You can't transfer the duck-tape between builds either. Getting the Duck-tape is harder than the swiss army knife.

nah..

how about a pair of suspenders, in which one side is red and the other green, that if worn will let you jury rig just about anything using junk?

Sherrif Buford Pusser's Badge and Hickory Club. The Badge bestows MD protection, while the hickory club allows the wielder to inflict damage to MD creatures, while inflicting normal SDC damage to non-MD beings.

Hobo maps to 'Big Rock Candy Mountain'*...possibly a pocket universe of plenty; lakes of beer, and steaks that grow on trees(an EVIL GM might makes this dimension a trap set by an imprisoned Alien Intelligence to lure enough sacrificial suckers in to provide it with enough PPE to break free of its prison).

*from the Lyrics by Harry McClintock(1928):
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains,
There's a land that's fair and bright,
Where the handouts grow on bushes
And you sleep out every night.
Where the boxcars all are empty
And the sun shines every day
And the birds and the bees
And the cigarette trees
The lemonade springs
Where the bluebird sings
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains.

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains
All the cops have wooden legs
And the bulldogs all have rubber teeth
And the hens lay soft-boiled eggs
The farmers' trees are full of fruit
And the barns are full of hay
Oh I'm bound to go
Where there ain't no snow
Where the rain don't fall
The winds don't blow
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains.

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains
You never change your socks
And the little streams of alcohol
Come trickling down the rocks
The brakemen have to tip their hats
And the railway bulls are blind
There's a lake of stew
And of whiskey too
You can paddle all around it
In a big canoe
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains

The Apple Crystal(aka the Time Ball)
A giant crystal ball said to have been used in rituals in the old American Empire city of New York to celebrate the New Year. Rumor has it the artifact, made of ancient magical crystals, if raised on the Winter Solstice, and/or near a ley line or nexus, will produce clairvoyant images of the year to come, grant a year-long blessing of improved luck to those in its immediate vicinity (said to range from a few hundred feet to an entire city), banish monsters, and protect from Temporal Magic. It is said to have survived the Coming of the Rifts in an ancient city government bunker it was stored in between winter solstice celebrations, somewhere deep in the area now known as Mad Haven.
(Reality: The Times Square Ball is 11,000 lbs of Waterford crystal(glass) which ISN'T magical, LEDs, and electronics. It DID survive the Coming of the Rits, and now serves as the centerpiece of the home of one of the more prominent Mad Haven mutants, who lights it up for various celebrations. Although it doesn't have any magical powers, anybody who forces their way in to try to grab it is going to get some seriously bad luck, courtesy of the mutants protesting the intrusion).
