Well, the basic map is essentially done now (though I continue to make minor revisions from time to time). Anyone know a good place for posting an svg file for download that doesn't try to dump malware on the downloaders?

I've been making little tweaks, but I could post it for download. I don't know of any good places for posting SVG files that aren't loaded with ads and malware. Any suggestions?

I haven't done anything with placing cities yet, but I certainly could. The tricky thing with city icons and labels on this kind of map is the scaling. If I try to place all the cities in the world on a global map, then the labels and icons will have to be tiny for a full-world presentation. On the flipside, if I select cities and size icons and labels to look good with a full-world presentation, they'll obscure other features and look absurd when zoomed in. I could always do both as separate layers, I guess. I've got some other projects going right now, but I'll get back to this one.

Cities would be great. But I dont think we need all the citites on high scale. Then show only the biggest cities. Also cities dont need to be scalable with the map. Just show where the cities are.

Anyway, I am not an expert on sharing. But what about using 4share or rapidshare or something similiar. Also found this link:

Greetings and Salutations. I don't know many details about how to set things up for downloads, or how .svg files work. However, I'd be willing to host them on my site otherwise. I work hard to keep it ad and malware free. ^_^ Farewell and safe journeys for now.

That link didn't work for me, but I'll look around to see if I can find something that doesn't suck. Thanks for the suggestions!

My suggestion is Mega (mega.co.nz). 50 GB for free, and if you want more, $100/yr for 4 TB.

Hey, I'd love to tackle a big, high-def poster map for Palladium, though such a project would be quite an undertaking. If Kevin gives me the go-ahead, I'll happily take a crack at it. A project of that scale would be my biggest to date by far.

Hmmm... ok. 4Share, Rapid og Mega would work. But I think posting on Prysis page would be great!
