Didn't do a very good job did he? (hours before losing his hand to Splyncryth and grafting a rune sword in it's place, when the similarities still haven't struck him then being Rifted to PFRPG during the time of a thousand magics where he still doesn't realize the similarities.)

Good quote. My favorite move...ever.

Fiery the angels fell...

Saddest thing ever said in any movie:

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. C-beams glittering in the dark by the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

Time...to die.

Robert Creed

(That last one came from my idea to have the entire 'loss' of Tolkeen being a ruse where they were attacking the CS from within...a few major elementals let loose in Chi-Town would put them off balance enough to allow for some other stuff to take place to really set them off big time...maybe enough for the FoM to launch a simultaneous attack).

Think that's enough for now... oh some points. Uh 10 for each correct part of an easy answer 50 for Moderate and 100 for hard. Of course I'm talking geek points. For a grand possible total of 1390 Geek points.

Got a couple here, the easy ones anyways:
Reel Big Fish (Probably a cover but I've on heard their version of Kiss Me Deadly).
Eagles
Sound Snippet from Resident Evil, the Red Queen which is at the beginning of the soundtrack.
Not sure on that last one, I want to say Sting though?
Well that would be a wopping 20 points your answers are

*Greedily scoops up his first Geek Points* Yay!

And wow, that *is* pretty wrong. You'll also need to give a few hints about those other ones. I don't eveyone has the Transformer soundtrack or the Robotech Complete CD...

Damn Triax Tech looks like we were both wrong on that... 20 points to finn 69. Since no one else seems interested I'll post the answers.

A little musical interlude...

Unread post by DhAkael »

-Chorus-
Hail the Coalition Soldier, maladjusted and misalinged
Tactical Blundering cannon fodder
Takin' it where the sun don't shine

Now some abhor the Coalition Soldier for
Utter ineptitude sublime
But I really do applaud the lads
They're good to the last drop every time

-Chorus-

When a lad wants to be a Coalition Soldier
He works hard every day
It takes a lot of combat training
To learn how to get blown away

-Chorus-

They spare no expense in ammunition
They really let the plasma fly
But flexible armour would come in handy
To bend and kiss their a$$ goodbye

-Chorus-

Laugh at the expense of the Coalition Soldier
But heed the warning I must say
Just don't take them all too lightly...
A stopped watch is right twice a day

-Chorus-

Manuscript found on the corpses of over 50 CS spec-ops. soldiers, 3 days after the fall of Tolkeen.

"Being chosen as this month's Miss August is an honor I'll remember as long as I can..."

How about this one:

So you've been CS for a year or two
And you know you've seen it all
Hanging out out in bars, trying to be a star
But in Tolkeen your type don't crawl

Play deebee jazz to parade your snazz
on your five grand stereo
braggin' that you know how the deebees feel the cold
and how the slum's got so much soul

It's time to taste, what you most fear
Psi-Cola will not help you here
Brace yourself, my dear
Brace yourself, my dear

For a holiday down in Tolkeen
It's tough kid but it's life
It's a holiday down in Tolkeen
Don't forget to pack a knife

You're a star bellied deebee
You give the heebie jeebies
You want everyone to act like you
Kill CS while you b****, so you can get rich
But the CS gets richer off you!

Well you'll work harder
With a gun in your back
For a bowl of rice a day
Slave for soldiers
Till you starve
Then your head is skewered on a stake

Now you can go where people are one
Now you can go where they get things done
What you need, my son
What you need, my son

Is a holiday down in Tolkeen
Where deebees use magic
A holiday down in Tolkeen
Where death is fast and tragic!

And it's a holiday down in Tolkeen
Where you'll what you're told
A holiday down in Tolkeen
Where the slum's got so much soul

Well you'll work harder
With a gun in your back
For a bowl of rice a day
Slave for soldiers
Till you starve
Then your head is skewered on a stake

Now you can go where people are one
Now you can go where they get things done
What you need, my son
What you need, my son

Is a holiday down in Tolkeen
Where people dress in black
A holiday down in Tolkeen
Where you'll kiss ass or crack

Pro-sek, Pro-sek, Pro-sek, etc....

And it's a holiday down in Tolkeen
Where you'll what you're told
A holiday down in Tolkeen
Where the slum's got so much soul

PROSEK!

OK - it's a bit contrived, and really Chi-Town Uber Alles would have been a better song to do, but I'm tired, it's late, and I've had a long day.

P.S. Sorry, had to fix some.

There's a reason...and a very good one...that I have certain people in this forum blocked both here and on Facebook.

I can see an illustration of that nearly every time I come here.

You know, these are supposed to be quotes, not songs...

Otherwise someone is going to dredge up "I am the very model of a coalition general" from the old Rifts: The Musical thread.

And I will have to reply back with all the other ones I did, such as "Then Prosek, with your escort lion-hearted"(sung by General Prosek, Lady Prosek, dead boys, etc), "When a d-bee's not engaged in his employment" (sung by coalition officer, Dead boys squad), and "Oh tis better far to live and die" (sung by Emperor Lazar, pecos raiders)

(in fact, I rewrote nearly all of 'pirates' to a rift theme, but I only posted some of them on the forum)

So you've been warned.... DONT MAKE ME DO THIS!!!

Also, so many of the songs posted are a bit beyond me... can we at least stick with the 80s, so I know where I stand?
I'd get up in the morning and watch the sun rise over the yardarm of my sky-ship as the sails billowed in the breeze and the land slid by 300-odd metres below. I'd grasp the mahogany ship's wheel, turn her nose a few points back onto the line, and feel pity for all those poor bastards below who have to work for a living. - My idea of the good life in Rifts.

What's that the right to use a fully automatic assault rifle to hunt for deer?

Or is it to protect the 2nd amendment
Bill of Rights: 2nd Amendment wrote:A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
in which case show me the militia, which at the time was the dominant military America had. I could translate this as anyone joining the military must provide their own weapons. Being military, even though I know it's happened before, find it hard to belive a military composed of trained civilians would take over their own country and treat it as a conqueror would. To me that is mass stupidity. Did everyone in the freaking army suddenly forget that their loved ones live in that nation and whatever they are doing is being done to them by someone else? An army of married soldiers is more likely than not to rise against an miscreant officer who desires domination. Then again I look and see that our fighting forces are dominantly a military of children (average age 19) and as such are dominantly not married and still malleablee". Maybe the government as a means of protecting democracy should start issuing wives to soldiers (meant to be funny as the common saying is "The military didn't issue you a wife." I don't really care all I know is that in order to own a gun an I.Q. test should also be administered. If a neighbor answers his door with a gun then notices it's me and "puts it up" I'm going to take the chance to kick him in the balls, punch him in the nose, grab the gun and shoot him in the knee. It was self defense. Ifeltt threatened, he did it once he could do it again.

I belive in the right to bear arms. If I ever hunt bear I want to things from it.
1. A pair of slipper made from it's hind feet so I could say I had bear feet.
2. A set of long gloves or some sort of sleeve so that I could say I practiced by right to bear arms.

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

Col.'s Driver: A cigarette lighter so he can plug in his cellphone charger.

"anytime......"
whispered by a Lanotour hunter as it tracks a CS special forces through the rainforest

Steampunk SAMAS finally built!

Thank You, Charleston Heston!!!!!

Hey Corn Holio

You know what Cops call unarmed citizens?

Victim! God bless the NRA, at least they stand up for the rights promised us in the constitution!

((Sorry about that, its sensative subject for me))

I carry an HK USP .40. Wonderful gun. :)

What do you mean "carry"? Like when going out shopping or going off to work? :)

SORRY! I didn't see this until just now!

I carry at all times...at work, at home, at the store, when out for a walk. Some places (work, picking up the kids at school) - the gun stays in the truck - everywhere else, it goes with me.

Always.

I'm not going to wait and find out where the psycho that wants to do harm to myself or my family. Because of an unusual situation, we are under a more direct threat than most and the prosecutor helping us with the issue advised me to procure weaponry for defense.

There's a reason...and a very good one...that I have certain people in this forum blocked both here and on Facebook.

I can see an illustration of that nearly every time I come here.

LoL, I was simply curious if he actually "carried" the gun around in a holster while doing is daily routine... :D

He did say "carry" and not "own" or "keep one in my house". ;)

I meant carry. In Riverside, California (where I came from) it's next to impossible to get a permit to carry a gun. In Indiana, I can get a permit to carry a silenced fully automatic Uzi.

Thank GOD I moved.

P.S. Yes, I am a card carrying member of the NRA.
