I'm guilty of more than just that. I have the core books and supplements to PB games I've never played (a la Mechaniod Invasion Trilogy, the book called The Mechanoids, Recon, the list continues.)

Oh yeah I'm in that boat with you too.

I know a lot of people who are. My geekdom comes more from the fact that I also have the core books (if not supplements) for 30 other (non-PB) games that I have never played.

2. You own a Megaton Productions product.
3. You own more than one Megaton Productions product.
4. You even know what Megaton Productions *is*.
5. I think I mentioned this before, but you know how calling Karl Prosek 'Tromm' fits into canon as best as it can.
6. You own all issues of A Plus+ comics.
7. You own all issues of the Mechanoids comics.
8. You have more than one copy of Nightspawn.
9. You have more than one copy of Manhunter
10. You have more than five copies of Rifts: Ultimate Gold
11. You have more than 12 copies of Rifts: Ultimate (regular)
12. You've bought more than 25 copies of Rifts: Ultimate (regular)
13. You're in the latest Rifter as someone cool going to the Open House.

...and last but not least...

14. You're listed as an honorary staff member.

Not really. You have any idea how fun it is to convert a game like Reich Star into the Palladium world as supplemental material to Rifts? I know we can't post conversions, so I won't, but that doesn't dispute the fact that I use other companies' material as PB souce material.

you find yourself using palladium mechanics to explain something in an anime..
(far too often. Outlaw star and the cosmic forge, tenchi and temporal magic, kitty grade and telemechanics...)

You find yourself disagreeing with this post because it is by far easier to explain palladium mechanics using amine references...

Several movies lately have been a disappointment because the big actions scenes closely follow what your characters have done in a Rifts game in the past....only your characters did it bigger and better...

If you've actually colored in the black & white pictures in your gaming books. (A player of mine did that...has the crazy in the RMB wearing heavy makeup, heavy on the blush and eyeshadow).

Not only that, but I just bought another copy of A Plus+ number 1 and plan to raffle it or give it as a prize (proceeds going to Palladium) at the next Open House.

The Rifts Ultimates that I have (besides my gold copies) are:

1. 1 sealed case
2. 2 copies - loose
3. 1 case sent to the hospital in Germany where our service personnel are recovering. Also sent were a dozen sets of dice, a lot of paper for character sheets, and IIRC, a bunch of pencils.

Hopefully our boys and gals get good use of the books.

I have every Iced Earth cd (including Enter The Realm, the Melancholy EP, the 3-disc AND the 2-disc Alive In Athens, and the 2-disc Days of Purgatory) minus Dark Saga. I also have both D&W cds. And, I have already pre-ordered the new Iced Earth cd that is coming out later this year. I have played all of this on my work computer at IBM.

HA!

14 here buddy!

There's a reason...and a very good one...that I have certain people in this forum blocked both here and on Facebook.

I can see an illustration of that nearly every time I come here.

Cherico level?

Hey now! I am not Chico...look at my posts per day vs. his posts per day. I just happen to spend the entire time that I have access to the intarweb logged into this site.

Its always up on my laptop. I'm only not on when I'm at work. I'm on in all my classes and when I'm sitting at home. It steals my soul.

I'm only on when at work...and still manage 50-70 posts if there is a good debate going on somewhere.

it's not that bad, I have other hobbies that in the long run will cost more than having one copy of every Palladium book.

D&D minis don't cost $25 a figure and take 3 hours to be playable though....

Yes but 11 or so armies and about 5000 figs ago, that would have been good advice.

Hell, I bought my first Space Marines back in '88 for $30 for 30 figures now I'm paying that much for a 10 man squad. :( :x :?

You must have some sort of frequent buyer discount or something....I haven't seen any army packs for less that $50

No basic troopers still only cost about $30 a unit, its the specialists and command that cost so much.

Wait, its been awhile since I bought any actually.

Been getting the D&D and Star Wars minis for my daughter and son, respectively.

I second that. I use to be really into GW, but their prices go up every six months or something. I'm not paying $50 for a five man squad of terminators, or $30 for a stupid rhino. My biggest complaint is that their a bunch of Aholes for stopping anyone from sellling the products online. I had a copy sites i'd by things from for 30% off. :x

Tell me about it.

Thats why, with rare exception, I dont plan on getting anything more from them for a good long time.

Besides I can still use the figs for Rifts. :)

It's not just online. In order to sell their stuff in a retail store, you need to dedicate 30% of your shelf space and run at least one game a week in store. Most smaller/indy stores can't afford to do this.

A few years ago a couple I know were running their own hobby shop and tried to get GW merch, the GW rep said they had to order and pay up front for $20,000 worth of product and the order a minimum of something like 100,000 dollars a year.

Yeah, but give it 3 years and $100,000 worth of product will be 17 figures.

Yeah, nothing makes a party more nervous than setting up 2 squads of marines, 3 Terminators, and a dreadnaught, then tell the they are CS troops. :demon:

Heck I didn't know that. Its almost like the don't want to attract people.

I mean quality of their miniatures plus the background to me is head and shoulders above any of the Table Top Wargamming competition. So i can't understand their tactics. Honestly I like the 40K universe better than anything except for Macross (not robotech) and Rifts universe. And I'm not just saying that because the is the Palladium website.

Yeah, I used to work in (read as: run) a game store, and I had the ability to order GW stuff for my customers. My distributor didn't care if I special-ordered a piece here and there, but I was not allowed to have anything in stock on the shelves unless I stuck with the obscene rules they had about store space.
