sadly ... unless you have the init and are allowed to utilize ALL your attacks at once before they 'bamf' outta the area .. all you'ld be able to do is TRY to hit the person ... and then all they'ld do is 'auto dodge ... or simo parries ...
both are effective ways to evade that kind of damage
trust me .. the one i do call 'god complex' has a way about EVERY single possible attack you could do ... sad .. but its true ... but IF someone did that using a maple sapper .... that would be different .. or used on of those oil can pouring spouts that makes the hole int he tin to pour with .. that could work ... but alas ... WHO carries one of those about on their person? .. not many

I know people like that. They come up with some of the most munchkin characters. I played in a game this week with almost everyone that was like that. Even mine to a certain extent was at the bottom of that level.

so .. asides from the teleporting being faster than a 'snap of the fingers' ... and thats ONLY cause mom did the nasty with about 14 different male God's and i don't know who daddy was [extreme .. BUT very common for 'god complex' and HIS female characters] ... I must admit to NOT working with mage types.
they didn't really interest me. they seemed to be a bit on the inane side, what with 'spell this and spell that and coming across as utter cornballs and useless.
even the feared 'hatchling' ... right ... i think i've seen about .... 8 of them? .. i tried to run one once .. NOT for me. i got bored of the char and chucked it. why? .. lets see, other than a mod that favored them BIGTIME, i dont think i've seen anyone actually play one convincingly. not myself, not the mod, and not the other players. but everyone seems to want to bed and wed them ... *shudders* ... icky. so much for hte 'fear factor'. marriage is the worst way to 'make my character important and retire it in style' ...
anyways ... back on topic of teleportation. i find that if people have that ability .. they use it in one melee to 'vanish' from view and reappear elsewhere. seen it happen as a PC in a game. been the victim of it a GM .. even had one GM tell me that 'i could do a back spring using the guys shoulders as a vaulting pole while doing a minor teleport with him ...
i WAS allowed that ability ... BUT i couldn't keep him stuck INSIDE the rock ...
i typed up the action as 'teleports to the boulder and finished the vault with target secured INSIDE the rock.
basically we went 'bamf' and he was up to his shoulders INSIDE the rock. should have killed him ... would have killed anyone else. even a major god ... but THAT demi-god just shrugs himself out of the rock and in one hit [he attacks and you can't possibly dodge cause you don't have 'auto dodge' .. one hit had me in the negatives. gm incorrectly assumed that i was MDC ... and power punched me in the head ...
....
yea .... sad but true ... another reason i REFUSE to game with the ****.

by shiiv-a
heh
like i said ... i DONT game with the **** anymore. HIS reasoning was simple ... the Demi was SNPS strong and BROKE his way out of the rock ...
riiiiight ..... thats what i thought at hte time ... HE wanted his baddies to prevail. and to have his PC or other favored PC's to win the day and not me ...
that was the final deciding factor for me. never again.

I actually killed a Gm's pet superman one time. I had an op field and a p field on my PA. No matter what we thru at the super munchkin we couldn't take him down. I finally phased the arm of my PA into the munchkins head and turned off the field. It cost my armor it's arm, but the Munchkin was dead!
Same Gm a different time. About the spell Impenetrable wall of force. It doesn't stipuate it's shape, so therefore it could be shaped as the player mage would will. Imagine a cone shaped Impenetrable wall shaped like a funnel with a little itty bitty hole at the one end. Now just imagine supersonic planes flying into said funnel.
Another fun little thing to do with teleportation. Learn demolitions, then have demo packs ready as you see fast moving vehicles, teleport said demo pack into the laps of the pilots. Watch their reaction.

The Gm couldn't bypass by solution to his munchkin.

I've know some people like that!
And now back to the topic!
What did you think of my little things Shiiv-a? The three examples of deak=ling with pain in the bottom GM's.

Opps, That should have been Dealing not what I wrote. The reason I didn't edit my response is that I'd rather not mess up my little Honorarium to Honor!

*peers in the topic and reads up to date and ponders a few things*
cool ideas ... had a teleporter that did that to a vehicle that tried to run her over ... the gm got ticked at MY actions and took it as a personal insult .. and then decided that he was gonna kill MY vehicle out of spite.
i did the teleport thing with about 16 fusion blocks and since i had preped it before hand to have a 3 sec delay .. long enough to show up slap it in place and t-port out .. I was technically safe ... until he decided that his 'autobot' [yeah .. it suddenly became one] and his team mate .. suddenly had sonic speed went over and took the 'bomb' apart ...
i was 'yeah .. whatever dude ... they nearly run ME over ... a doctor with a cane to assist with movement .. nearly run ME over and i'm NOT allowed to defend myself? ... gimme a break ... ' then removed my char from the game. he left shortly after that .. seems at least one other char complained

That is too bad you had to have a GM like that Shivv-A. Those sort of petty GM's give gaming a bad name. I'm glad you managed to continue playing after a bad experience like that.
And a great job for not killing the guy!

Sometimes, and sometimes they do make it in Rl. But they make everyone else life miserable with their presence. I known at least one like this.

I've known one who did make and rthey lacked any sort of characteristic!

well .. when you think of it this way ... players sit in the nexus room in wait ... like bvultures for newbs to show up and then 'demand' that they GM for the players ....
talk about RUDE .... *sigh* .. then the new guys never listen to me when i tell then 'you don't have to .. ' they do .. get disillusioned and leave
and the games then sit there and rip the person's game apart on top of destroying the newb's attempt at GM'ing ...
they pulled it on me .. i didn't have the books .. so i was flying in the dark too often, but i used to think i wasn't that bad. now? .. no one wants in .. or if they do .. they only come in to utterly destroy the game already in progress
snarks ... the lot of them ... especially when they pull that

That is sad that people do that. Maybe sometime in the future you can find a group who are such snarks. I've known a few of those myself, and they are always a sad lot to deal with. But once I know who are the troublemakers I usually avoid them. Let them rip someone else's game apart. I have a tendency to rip people like that apart verbally in their face.

its why i'm SO disillusioned with most of the games on the digi site. not enough high quality GM's. and when does come on .. its the people that snark about a game that do the 'cozy up' and get in with whatever they want .. and actually ruin it for others.
i know one person who games all the time, who will ADD to his XP .. just cause HE didn't think he got enough.
he also game hops with players so their in every freaking system. when i did that, i kept the same char ... BUT ... all the exp was in different sections
[ got hard when it was 6th level in one game and 3rd in another... explained to hte gm and they understood] i don't do that anymore, but the issue still stands .. game hogs are just that .. game hogs.
i know another who figures that IF he can come up with an explaination as to why his first level char has this runic weapon and that uber special power armour .. its okay.
..... riiiiiiight ..... but hey, thats God Complex ofr you .... its all in his head, and he's welcome to it.

missing the point there darkmax ...
he has stated to more than one person that 'ruling' .. but hey, HE wants his females to be pornqueens with gods in their wild ***related parties ... so go figure. then they are all related to each other, so what happens to one, the others know about ... from the gods that are kept on a really short leash ...
so no thinks ... i don't run in games HE's in or running .. and if he joins ... i leave. i wont even give him the time of day if he asks to join mine. i wont game with the bloke. period. he NEEDS to be in control and rule the roost and shove his weight about, so good for him. he can go ahead and do that, i'm not interested in his issues

If a person brings a character like that into my game.........I'd let me run his character! Since any first level character couldn't possibly control a rune weapon. I'd have play the ego of the weapon to take control of the poor little PC! :::WEG::: WEG = Wicked Evil Grin!

I doubt that DM. I doubt you could ever be a bad as some of the ones I've known.
