No, the Alpha pilots were the Sky Jammers. The Raspberry Babies were a mixed team including a Destroid, Cyclones and an Alpha. The Survivors were all Macross-era mecha. Then there was The Four Horsemen and one other team whose name escapes me at the moment (my REF Field Guide is currently packed away).

The Sky Jammers tangled with a Bioroid Assault Frigate and paid the piper big time.....

So in other words the "Sky Jammers" got jammed into the trash can! ouch! What sort of losses did they sustain?

Presumably all 6 Alpha's. 'Baby Leader' speculated that there weren't any survivors. Which is pretty much what happens when Sylphide and Ajax Veritechs take on the Bioroid Transports during The Masters War.

I remmeber the Old debat about how a Single VF-1a could total a Bioroid Transport, I'm sure the New RPg will have a Slightly Diffrent Senario, Going by Robotech.com's View on the Abilities of the Bioroids and how well the Human Mecha Fared against it.

If the squadron wanted to have targets on their mecha maybe that would create a psychological problem for their enemies. Thinking that either only a madman or someone extremely good would do that sort of stunt.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Un ... _squadrons theirs one list of names

the RAF was a bit less in the nameing tradition and more in the number and moto tradition(which oddly enough carried over to some of the "allied" squadrons that went back to their home contries after WWII with the notable exception of the "Eagle" squadrons.)

Another great set of names!

What about a squadron named after various fictional groups?

My first squadron (First Robotect War) was VF-76 "Misfits" we were all black sheep with criminal records or a lack of respect for authority, but we got the job done when it needed done.
My second was ATAC-27 "Hawkeyes" a band of VHT pilots and GMP assigned to defend a small island in the north Atlantic that held the last of the Robotech Research Center.
During the Sentinels and the Invid Invasion, we ran a small unit of Special Operators ST-320 "Black Dragons" a Special Tactics Team of 6 cyclones, one alpha, and one beta both for tactical air support.

The squadron name I used in the original Robotech game was The Death Angels. They were the result of a failed attempt to rehabilitate traumatized soldiers from the first Robotech War.

Project Angel is dead - long live the Death Angels!

REF (Now I suppose UEEF) 3rd. Tactical Combined Arms.
Mixture of Destroid & VF's used for rapid response.

Also the 32nd. 'Black Skulls' heavy assault squadron.

14th. the 'Greyfalcons' specializing in formation manuvers.

and lastly... the 11th., 'Firedancers' specializing in orbital drop operations and first-strike.
