The almost comically huge room was only half lit, silhouetting the tiger sitting behind the desk with light. large planters with rather..aggressive looking plant life lined each side of the room. Sitting in the chair across from the businessman is a UEDF uniformed human, a cross shaped scar across one side of his forehead marring an otherwise regal looking persian face.

"so let me get this straight. This 'Don Carnage' has his own flying aircraft carrier, multiple squadrons of ex-military fighter planes, hundreds of men at his command, and keeps building these massive super weapons to try and break into this city and loot the place."
"yes, that is correct" the tiger steepled his hands.
"yet no one has any idea where his base is or where he gets his supplies."
"again, correct. Mr. Karnage however should be no challenge for your groups... unique capabilities."
"of that i have no doubts. i believe we can do business, Mr. Khan
"most gratifying Mr. Vashutal."
"the pilots of Area 88 shall make short work of this 'airpirate'. "

From this you can infer:
a) Post-SDF-1/Pre Rain of Death(classic Area 88 with a few Vietnam vets still around and much of the original Cold War era aircraft)
b) Post Rain-of-Death, Reconstruction(in which case the mercenaries should have black market mecha available to them)
c) Post-UEsG, free for all madness cross-dimensional freelance mercenaries, with Area 88 hardly anything like the original, taking their show on the road.(In which case Prince Vashutal's found mercing is good business, though whether or not he still has a country to rule is up in the air).
d) None of the above; no Robotech characters were involved in the filming of this movie whatsoever. Suspend your disbelief, and ignore the red seaplane racking up the impressive kill score in the background.

In general, crossovers are perfectly legit bloopers(see the opening post description of the categories of bloopers) as long as the emphasis is on funny, be it an odd juxtaposition, or ideally the 'Oops, we just ####ed up!' sort.

This one should almost be in the crossover one.

Actually it's best performed in the ORIGINAL Klingon...Wagner clumsily mistranslated quite a few lines and scenes.

Wagner was a bit of a douche... nice stage direction though. His penchant for horses on stage all the time kinda makes one wonder about the man however...
