So, basically, you're piloting your mecha, doing your thing, then inside your cockpit, a guy with a shotgun tells you to get out.
Ever since I started playing Tiberian Sun, in which one of the units can actually do that, I often wondered, "how does one hijack a mecha"?

with a Monster destroid as the shotgun.
May you be blessed with the ability to change course when you are off the mark.

That's a specialty of the Cyclone Riders using the VR-041 Sabre. Those nifty little can-openers strapped to the forearms make quick work of access hatches and the like...

The only problem is that those two mecha, destroids and cyclones, are about 35 years and light years apart.

Re: Mech-Jacking
I think you would be better off stealing a mecha while there is no occupant.
In my games there are three ways of getting into a Mecha (other than cyclone).
1. Keypad - know the Pilots or Maintenance key code sequence
2. Biometric - A hand scanner, finger scanner or eye.
3. Voice Recognition - Simple voice recognition
Now this is just to get into the Mecha. Once inside it's fairly straight forward, no key's, etc. If I was being snarky, I would have the same three as above available.
And I usually go with the all three for New Gen vehicles, the top two for Masters, and the Keypad for Macross era.

Nobody ever specified Destroids as the target mecha. And even if they did, it's a well-known fact that high-tech bandits have scavanged RDF mecha.
