So, post-convention sickness has begun to set in. Just so my kids wouldn't worry, I went to the doctor's today and had a flu-screening. Just a good old-fashioned cold.

Well, now that the massive research paper has been turned in and presented (I did so enjoy the looks I got while describing the medieval execution method of "breaking on the wheel"), I might get a chance to do that.

Anyway, I do seem to have some very minor chest congestion and a touch-and-go case of the sniffles. I just hope Andreas, Daniel, and Pedro didn't end up too bad off, what with all the weird germs us North-Ams are carrying. :P

I think they probably drink enough socially to clean out most of the germs their bodies aren't used to..

I'm mostly better today. Slight fever is all, and a little residual sore throat. But, damn! Head congestion, cough, runny nose. Good times! It's good that I had the rest of the week off, cause I would have been out sick otherwise.

Looks like I shouldn't have picked PE for a dump stat.

I'm feeling a lot better; partly for the realization of how lucky I am that came from driving most of my route yesterday; everything from Salem south is devastated. Not a lot of houses demolished, but quite a few trees uprooted and no power for anyone. Humbling.

Of course, getting nine hours of uninterrupted sleep last night didn't hurt anything either...
