Corrupting a Millenium tree

Unread post by mobuttu »

*I've just started to read Rifts England, so sorry if it's that is answered on the book or discussed previously*

In WB21 Splynn Dimensional Market there are several Millenium trees corrupted weapons. In WB3: England it says that wands, leaves and other Millenium gifts can be returned to the tree, who absorbs or reattach it again.

So, I wonder: What do you think would happen should a Millenium tree reattach a splugorth corrupted Millenium weapon?

Adventure idea:
Hook: A false druid "escaped" from Atlantis contract the party to escort him to a specific Millenium tree in england.
Line: The druid brings some Millenium gifts (supposedly stolen from the Splugorths) and wants to return them to the proper tree. Some Splugorth minions hound the party to give verisimilitude to the false druid story.
Sinker: The false druid reattach the corrupted gifts. [My guess is the tree corrupts itself by reabsorbing the corrupted energies. What happens then? What have the PC do?

The corrupted objects are healed of their corruption. It's not a giant virus.

Wow. Thanks. I'll check it out. My Rifts motto is (stolen to everloss) "always remember the Splugorth can do anything!". So why can't they enchanted the corrupted gifts with bio-wizardry to corrupt Millenium Trees? I thing it's a good plot at the end of the day.

I do beleave the Dark MT got that way for to reasons.
1 Just kind of bad luck, it grew in a spot that didn't allow for potential allies. The Black Forest in Rift's is the home to many evil creatures.
2 Time, the evil creature of the Black Forrest had the time to currupt the tree, it didn't grow that way it was made that way.

It also might be the effect of the evil nature of the black Forrest.
