Story Lines for May 2010

Well here it is May. I hope my storylines this month end up better than last month.

This month I will have the following open posted threads that anyone can join in at any time. The more PCs involved usually offer a nice variety of flavor and collaboration.

1) REAPER will be posting again as his kid sister was taken by a Devil Ghost he failed to kill. No longer in it for the bounty, it has become personal. The character will be going through changes for the better (alignment upgrade and personality too).

2) AZREAL is in western China right now trying to stop the demon TYRANIS RHUNE from escaping his imprisonment. The Shadis Ferai agent called DIMITRI had succeeded in relasing the demon. So now Azrael must once again face off against this foe he once fought a few hundred years ago.
I will be running this game on the side to determine the outcome in China. The demon may actually defeat Az and start to reign Hell and Havok.

3) HOLISTER is in Portland Maine helping his brother TOM rid the inner city of a Death Weaver Demon Spider. I am using the City Ruins campaign from BTS-1 but switching out the Dybuuk with a Death Weaver.

4) REBECCA will be posting from her new home in DC. After her run in with a Chuthulu Cult she has dedicated herself to helping people like Ron and The Society helped her. She will be posting more frequently but she will also have the baggage of THE MAGIS who escaped at the end of her initial campaign...who is THE MAGIS.....you'll have to wait and see.

5) A new character BARON SAMEDI will make his appearance this month as a Latent Psychic Freelance Reporter who is trying to prove the existance of the supernatural. He has a connection called " Shadowman " who has been feeding him useful information. The role of "Shadowman" is up for grabs if anyone is interested. "Shadowman" can simply be the alias of an existing board PC who is feeding BARON SAMEDI hs information or can be subtly manipulating the character for some other purpose.

6) JEREMIAH DARK has been hunting down children over the past month and using their fear filled PPE to reagther his strength. Right now he has three children fitted into Panic Vests. Each child is at a different location. He may or may not be at one of these locations. I was thinking of having this story go down in either Boston or Chicago. In either situation, the children will have four hours (give or take) before they have the life squeezed out of them. DARK is acting alone on this one so there will be no SHADOW SOCIETY connections

7) KELLY will be posting again around the midle of the month. Her story will involve her nemesis MARCIA. MARCIA will attempt to set up KELLY as a fall guy for a werewolf crime she commits. MARCIA will arrange it so a board hunter will try and kill KELLY. The story will require investigative work and a little combat. Hopefully if all goes well MARCIA will be slain at the end of this storyline.

At the annual Memorial Day BBQ in Cypress Cove the PCs will have alot to celebrate this month. Everyone can come together relax and have a great weekend of fun and sun. On the downside, the Society's old enemy ARAWN will be making a return visit to provide a warning. What will happen....

1) Baron Samedi is his handle because is originally from New Orleans and left after Katrina. He is freelance but is trying desperately to get in tight with any large organization, even After Midnight. He is good at what he does but he is over anxious and lets his ambition cloud his better judgement. He believes the supernatural exists, he just hasn't proven it yet.

2) sounds like something I was envisioning for my Heroes Unlimited China work, with the Map of Shifting Dunes in the western Gobi desert hiding Aichéng Fúshìzhíwù Hēi'àn Pò, the City of the Highly Corrupted Souls. S.C.R.E.T. was trying to find out more about this city, because of warnings of turbulence in the Ley Lines near the body of Russia and Mongolia with China. The Chinese were doing their best to keep a lid on things, but the Mongol Nomad, a powerful hero along with two Russians, Zenith and the Kaleidoscope Wizard, were on a mission to discover what was wrong. In an effort to keep it from turning into an international incident, they were teamed with Gold Dragon, the Nationalist Hero of China, and Nui Ling, a respected Feng Shui from Hong Kong to investigate. The team wasn't able to find the mysterious city, though and did some investigating. There, they discovered that S.C.R.E.T. might have a clue as to the location of the city and Agent Starr was sent along with Dominic Gregario, the S.C.R.E.T. Swashbuckler, to aid the team as they made a concerted effort to find Aichéng Fúshìzhíwù Hēi'àn Pò, without knowing what was really inside the City.

Well a centuries back while Azrael was learning in Tibet, he heard of a demon calling itself Tryanis Rhune. The demon slaughtered villagers for sport and even laid waste to a legion sent to slay the beast. Azrael went to confront the demon figuring he was immortal and could defeat it (mind you this was in his youth as an immortal). The battle did not boad well and only a resulting avalanche managed to seal away the demon deep within a mountain cave. The location of this tomb was a secret known only to Azrael who in his wounded state told it to a wandering Tibetan monk who helped him recover from his wounds.

This is the reason why Azrael was abducted by Dimtri and had to be rescued by Ron, Nemesis, and Slayer. Dimitri got what he needed however and managed to locate the tomb. After a limited search and torturing a temple of monks to death, The Shadis Ferai 6th chair Dimitri Romavich (desendant of Rasputin) set the demon free. Azrael has gone to stop the demon once again.

PS: Nemesis, Ron, and Slayer have made a powerful enemy of Dimtri who will have his revenge.
