Try the Republicans found in Sourcebook 1 Revised. They are located in DC I believe. Also I think there is reference to them in Aftermath.

Yeah pretty much the CS are the inheritors of the American Empire.

But seriously the CS grew from NEMA and other than the Republicans (locatedin DC) and the NEMA popscicles at archie-1 there is not much else on the mainland that is canonly American that I am aware of.

As people have said.
The CS is NEMA with a new face.
The Republicians and the Sleeping NEMA with ARCHIE3.
The New Navy are Survivors. They became SeaTitans the day the Rifts happened.
The Odd Town that survived the Rifts Dark Ages intact.
Tundra Rangers are Ex-NEMA also.

The American Empire was most likely a Left Political machine where the Government controlled all aspects of your life. Just Like the Progressive (Librals) want us to become. I would not doubt it might have had a President-for-Life like many banana Republics.

The CS Still Follow the NEMA (American Empire) ways. They have a Chairman for Life (sounds like China).

America & NEMA get hit really hard during the Dark Ages by a demon plague that reshapes North America, thats why more of NEMA isn't around.

the glitter boy pilots that are descended from other glitter boy pilots who are descended from other glitter boy pilots ad nauseam are also remnants of NEMA, in a way.

Alot survivied it seems.

Country Life styles.
Western Wear.
Death Metal Motiffs (cs)
American fixation on all things German (Triax) (Hasselhoff music - he is still alive you know).
Chicago Politics very popular it seems.
Sport Stars using Drug-enhancements (juicer sports)
Noone listening to Libral-Talk Radio Stations outside of Chi-town.
D&D players are still LARPing in the Magic Zone.

Its kinda sad to hear that after all that heroic sacrifice on the part of NEMA that virtually nothing is left of the old American Empire and that the inheritor of that once great nation is the Coalition States that many (myself included) consider to be evil (after all how can a post-apocalyptic nation be good and not allow anyone to own weapons to protect themselves?). Oh well, at least America's greatest gift to the world (aka death metal) has survived lol.

The suspension of civil liberties in times of emergency is pretty much rigueur de jour even in modern Western democratic republics. The CS is in a perpetual state of war.

NEMA established itself in Chicago, however they built the fortress city of Chi-Town 80 miles away. By 1 PA, the Federation of Magic had moved into the ruins of old Chicago. There's no major conflict with the timeline, only between the two different groups...

The Tundra Rangers are stupid IMHO, however they can be found in Rifts Canada.

The best remnants you will find would be the Republicans and New Navy as mentioned, along with the Megaversal Legion (in South America 2)

Nitpick; the Sea Titans were actually produced by an encounter with an alien wreck the New Navy was exploring...not everybody was affected...so, yes, indirectly the Rifts created the Sea Titans, but after the Big Day.

My Underseas Book say the Sub Capt Nemo was on was exposed to Energies from the Rifts and the Glowing Blue Water Zones. Not another sub or alien vessel.
The Mystical Energies changed Most of the pople on board into the SeaTitans.

As for CS. My OLD Main Book even mentions a group from the Old American Empire setting up shop in the area, and Building the Fortress City. That the CS at first used Wizards in their Military until the Battle with Federation of Magic. Who settled in the Old Ruins of Chicago at the time. The CS started to Build a second Fortress City around this time also.

The Old Mainbook does not Mention NEMA by name. That part is covered up the CS leaders. The newer Books do say NEMA to let you the reader know its connected to Chaos Earth. Not just a vague statement of the Old American Empire anymore. Kevin finally gave it a name NEMA. Northern Eagle Military Allience right ? So was there a Southern Eagle Military Allience aka SEMA in South America ?? Or Central Eagle Military Allience aka CEMA in Central America. Most Likely was. I'm betting North, Central and South America was more or less One big Empire of United countries at the time. They just divided the Militaries up into regions. North, South and central.
I hope to goodness All of America was not a Banana Republic. But most likely it was.

The description of the Sea Titan on pg 113 starts out by saying it was the original 22 crew members.

Pg 107 describes the exact event - basically Nemo was leading two squads in some sort of a underwater mission.
