Your Now a ... Anti-Monster Cyborg.
Lets say you Maxed out the rolls for Fun sake.
Your 1d4+1 Cybernetic/Bionic selections ?? What would you choose ? and Why ?

-------------

MYSELF...
#1 = Heavy Cyborg Body Armor (+420mdc)
A No brainer. More MDC protection. Have it permently attached to your body this way. It now heals with You as you do. Penalities dont matter much when your suppose to be a Towering Metallic Brute right ?? Besides Supernatural PS might offset it some. Who knows.
#2 = Multi-Optic Eyes
Another no brainer. Gotta see things clearly right. Even in darkness.
#3 = an Energy Weapon. Does not matter which really.
#4 = Built-in Energy Link to energy weapon. Need ammo right.
#5 = Ahh the last and Final selection. This is tough. Because you can NEVER upgrade later on. So the selection needs to fit the character well. Call me Crazy but How does this sound. CYBER-Shield. A Shield that is part of you. It only takes damage when its aimed for. But as part of you it will Heal and regrow if destroyed. Great defense. Plus Shields can be used as Weapons with WP Shield. Might even be Retractable somehow. Like a Fan or something. Who knows.

The choice between Finger Claws or Forearm Vibro-Blades. I'd go with Vibro-blades.

Actually I like what you did and would probably go teh same route except I WOULD specify my energy weapon as the Particle Beam. That way no laser resistant armour will be my worry and Particle Beams have really good punch for what hey are compared to the other energy cyber weapons.

Technically, it is cybernetic enhancements only not bionic enhancements.

Anti-Monsters dont need to fear Laser-Resistant Armors.
Thats why they have Supernatural PS, Retractable Claws/Vibro-blades for.

I just Worked up an Anti-Monster Borg.
I used the (Reaper Bot) for the basic appearance. Neurani Wave 2 Book for the Reaper by Chuck Walton.
Has the basic Deathshead look of the Anti-Monster artwork from SA1. But fits the Towering Metallic Brute Fluff much better.
Went with Dual Laser Eye Blasters for the weapon system. Again working with the Art.

Yeah, but it was written in the era of the books which listed Cybernetics instead of Bionics for everyone. For a Full Conversion Cyborg to be limited to only "Cybernetics" is silly. They isnt much to pick from really. Bionics however their is alot to pick from. So let them pick from Both I say. It makes sense for the OCC in question. Its not like they can go out and get upgrades later on either. The OCC is Front-Loaded. What you get at First Level is all you ever have. So let them enjoy it.

That's because they scaled back the heavy borg armour to 360. It USED to be 420.

PRE-RUE numbers.

Look in ... :

RIFTS Mainbook (not rue) (page 243. HI-B3 Heavy Infrantry Armor 420 mdc)
Rifts Bionic Sourcebook (page 77. HI-B3 Heavy Infrantry Armor 420 mdc)
Triax and the NGR = See the RED BORG aka Manhunter model. The classic Heavy Combat Cyborg of choice.
Warlords of Russia = substandard heavy armor at 280 mdc for Heavy Machines.

Most of the Rifts books list the 420 mdc for the heavy cyborg armor.
I honestly only see Rifts Ultimate Edition listing 360 mdc for some reason.

I still go with the 420 MDC value, I like my Cyborgs to have more OMPH. Since we are resurrecting this post why not choose the Bionic Wings and jet pack combo, with heavy Armor and silver edged Ripper forearem vibro-blades.

Yepp i still use 420 mdc too since most of the books use that number.

I'd make the obvious choice and choose 0 Cynernetic enhancements.
Each one increases the chances of the character dying in 1d4 years by 3% each. I'd be doing whatever I could to maximize my chances of surviving, not minimize them...

The Standard Heavy Armor they get is worn, not part of them.
I would bolt-the armor to the anti-monster as an implant option so it would HEAL itself. I say no to requireing the armor to be fixed all the time.

Before I put my list down I have a few questions.
1. Isn't the Multi-optics and amplified hearing standard? (they are with most if not all Borgs, and would explain the high bonuses)
2. Are Borg forearm blaster modular? Because I seam to remember seeing that somewhere.
3. With the regeneration, does it work an all built in systems, such as the launching spikes or grenades?

You can't Wear TWO Suits of heavy armor on top of each other.

You can have borg armor integrated, it's extremely rare but a few borgs do have integrated heavy armor (the first Triax book features a borg with integrated, non-removable heavy borg armor).
