Ghostbuster's Video game "walkthrough.

this 60 item playlist on youtube* is a recorded playthrough of the ghostbusters videogame on Xbox360.** it's got lots of interesting paranormal plot ideas you could crib for a BTS game, even if you don't play "ghostbusters" types. the best part of this game is that it plays more like an interactive movie than a normal FPS game. your the 5th GB, participating in an epic struggle to prevent an ancient paranormal plot from occuring. lots of fun.

*This playlist takes a while to watch through...and the guy playing is speeding through the game..
** warning, massive spoilers for the game's plot..

My Favorite part is the part in the New York Library. book golems, spooky poltergeist activity, and a little sidetrip into another dimension...whats not to like? (other than the damage done to the books. for me, thats more of a horror aspect than moving bookcases and freaky ghosts..)

G-to-the-Oy, thanks for the suggestion. I will probably pick up the game at some point. I watched a guy play through part of it. The best aspect of the game is probably the answering machine back at headquarters which offers story and tone enhancement, much like how radios work in Grand Theft Auto games. Some of the messages are funny: 'Hello Ghostbusters, I was possessed by a female demon recently. Well, I was wondering if you could get me in contact with her. I would like to see her again.' Where their any video or audio aspects of the game that would work well if carried directly to the table?

Yes, pulp RPGs area good source of materials for BtS games with pulp elements. They are especially good sources for era-appropriate vehicles and weapons. I am fond of Gear Kreig.
