I was thinking the same thing! I could totally see the scorpion walker prowling around the buildings of chi town or even the old burbs like that.

Man this just makes me re-ask why we even bother with live action sci-fi/fantasy movies anymore.....

This, along with the 2 Old Republic trailers, the new Deus Ex, Mechwarrior 5 and so on and so forth....why when a CG movie COULD look THIS good?

Let us all hope that Coalition Skelebots are a lot faster -and smarter -than the crowd surrounding that guy.

(I would LOVE to see, in any future Rifts Movie, a Hyperion Juicer and a Skelebot or ARCHIE-bot have a hyper-fast version of the knife fight that Tommy Lee Jones and Steven Segal had in Under Siege.....)

I thought that was awesome, I wish combat in Rifts worked that way though. His blade and his pistols must do 2d6x10 or more...

Very very nice. Looked like a hyperion juicer to me too. A bit of fudge for the cinematographic aspects but yes. That'd be alot how juicers would fight. And why they're so scary.

The reason it reminded me of juicers is because I didn't think of it as 'everyone is just standing there waiting for him to do stuff' but rather 'he's so fast, from his point of view everyone is standing there, but from theirs he's moving like lightning'

If I saw the drug harness on him, I'd say copyright infringement. This is really, really close.

Must be a New Mega/Hyperion Hybrid Juicer with a Rune God Device that empowers the wielder with the Super power of adhesion as well as cuts through anything.

Neat though.

Ehh, not really adhesion. It could be explained by the application of the juicer's mega strength, and MDC Armor as he slid down the side of the buildings till friction slowed him, then leaping at that point.

It's a bit of a stretch but some games are more cinematic than others. Some are real gritty and 'realistic'. The movie would be the representation of a more cinematic styled game.

As for cutting through anything.... well That's what you get when you carry a vibrosword. (( Probably one of those new Ripper vibroweapons with the added damage. *nodnod*))

Or a rune sword and a set of magic armor that had the manually activated power of adhesion.

Main guy David Weinstein (Producer/Director/Writer) did work on Mummy Returns, last 2 Matrix movies, Chronicles of Narnia movies, FF4: Rise of Silver Surfer, and X-Men: Wolverine. These movies based on Azureus Rising have the real possibility to be as Epic as the proof of content shows. He's also got credits on some good games. So there shouldn't be the normal lame, movie-related game release that accompanies every movie today.

Even still, and I'm not claiming to be a physicist, but that ball would have either traveled painfully slow or shot straight up in the air like a rocket. Basically if it were the latter, the guards wouldn't had been able to react to the ball in the time frame.

Or they had mini guns, numbers, overconfidence and didn't know that the marble that fliped into the air was really a high tech flash bang?
