max number of permanence wards on human
so what's the max number you could put on a human
I know the book dosen't give a number
but I imagine there is a way to figure out how much skin a permancene ward takes up
and then come up with a rough figure

I remember days like this when my father took me to the forest and we ate wild blueberries. More than 20 years ago. I was just a boy of four or five. The leaves were so dark and green then. The grass smelled sweet with the spring wind...For us, there is no spring. Just the wind that smells fresh before the storm.

Re: max number of permanence wards on human
I swear I've seen a maximum number printed somewhere, if I recall correctly it was two.

I don't believe that a maximum is ever listed.
However, we always played that the max was one; otherwise things get even more crazy.

Re: max number of permanence wards on human
Never played a max, except was self-imposed by diabolists.
Basically, the max was "how many permenance wards are you willing to risk having ripped painfully and torturously from your flesh?"

Re: max number of permanence wards on human
let's go with there is no max number by canon
well there has got to be a max number based on skin on a person's body
at some point a personruns out of skin
how big is a permanence ward
also a aside can you have instants spells goodfor one melee attack/action permanently grafted onto your skins
like Ican'trecall the name but the one in a million spell that changes your odds

Re: max number of permanence wards on human
We always ruled that a spell cast on a person when the perm ward was activated becomes permanant, with the rule that each spell would require it's own perm ward.
Yeah, this came in handy. But, what's good for the PC is always good for the NPC.. It REALLY sucked when an NPC got a hold of one of the PCs for a few hours game time. We got her back sliiightly different than we lost her.
400 lbs heavier (increase weight)
confused and disoriented (befuddle)
One arm (her weapon arm) paralyzed (paralysis: lesser)
Blind (as per spell, Blind)
Needless to say, that NPC mage had a LOT of hate built up towards our party, that cleric in particular.
When we finally caught up to him,
1500 lbs heavier
confused and disoriented
both arms and one leg paralyzed
blind
deaf
agony
dominated (just to make sure he wasn't going to work against us)
Minor Curse: itching and rash
Sickness
And then we kinda went dark side on his butt...
Compulsion (this is where we were EVIL)- to live a long life, marry, and have multiple children
Armor of Ithan
invulnerability (limited)
And the priest managed to pull of a miracle.. got her goddess to bestow deific curse: immortality.
We encountered him MANY "years" (game time) later. And we regretted every little bit we had done to him.

Re: max number of permanence wards on human
If I recall the smallest ward you can make is 1 inch in diameter. So long as you are able to write small, and file down a demon bone to that size, you could probably put hundreds on the average human body.
