Dark Legacies; Part 1

Why have the many characters that live in Cypress Cove who once thrived on the Lazlo Society website stopped posting? Surely you have noticed.
For far too many months there has been no word from them, no emails, site posts, letters, or even phone calls. No unusual? Right? Many other characters have come and gone over the years, but Holister at least was a staple up until a few months ago and then even he has abruptly stopped posting.
The answer is quite simple really. The old addage that those inexperienced with powerful magicks should not venture where angels fear to tread.
If any characters from the Lazlo Society site have tried to contact Cypress Cove or the individual characters that live there, several things become eriely apparent;
1) All land line phone service is either " That Number is Not in Service " and just dead air.
2) No cellphone ocontact either, just " The number you are trying to reach is not with the service area. "
3) Radio communication goes unanswered, static, or just dead air depending on when and where you try to reach them.
4) Any physical mail is always returned " Address Unknown "
5) Emails and Instant messaging goes unreplied. Any attempt to see why simply comes back "Not in Service" or "Address not valid".
6) Even if this has been going on for months, no one has investigated or gone to see why. In fact, when this question is pondered, something else always seems to come up and change the topic. It is like everytime someone tries to remember Cypress Cove or the characters that once lived there, a mental fog decends over them.
Any attempt to psychically and magically communicate with or remote viewing of the town comes back blank as though there is some force is blocking it.
One thing is certain, those character who are very persistant...perhaps too persistant will begin to feel as though they are being watched after 1d4+1 days of their last attempt.
