Lazlo Plot lines for June
It seems a little late in the month to start a thread about May plotlines so I'm skipping a head to June.
As far as posting goes, Cybermancer will continue on with the "What Would Victor Lazlo Do?" thread. But he's available for other plotlines that are happening in June.
Nemesis is currently posting a story that happened early in May, in a thread called "The Man in Blue." She's teaming up with Hannah for a little adventure in June so she won't be availabe again until July.

Re: Lazlo Plot lines for June
I was kinda hoping to have GW either contribute to someone else's investigation, or hire someone to help with some 'heavy lifting', as she herself is limited in that regard. Whichever one seems interesting.

What exactly do you consider 'heavy lifting'?

Putting down bad guys basically or going into a situation where there might be real danger. Mel's capable at handling herself, but she wouldn't call herself a combatant, and there are people on Lazlo who have demonstrated much greater aptitude for such things.
Addendum: Also, anything getting Mel out of the NYC metro area would be kind of refreshing.

How do you feel about Gotham Witch being a pawn in a Deevil's sinister plot?

As you wish. If you've been following the WWVLD thread, then you may have noticed Cyber revealing a certain Deevil's true name on the internet. This means two things. First, anyone can summon and bind the Deevil (Maddie) easily. It also means that she wants a little payback (especially since she saved Cyber from an assassination attempt last year-but I guess we all make life choices we later regret).
So how do you avoid being summoned and bound if you're a Deevil? That's right, be already bound to someone else. Now if you were a Deevil, who would you want to be bound to? How about a good guy? A good guy who won't use you in the horrible ways that say the demon lords of hades might? Or how about a guy who will feel obligated to protect you from all those who will now be gunning for you? And best of all, a guy you can corrupt and maybe turn to your side, given time?
As you may have guessed, Maddie's plan is to trick Cyber into binding her to him. Problem is, he's not a magic user. So the set up requires a couple of things. The first is a mage to make the scroll. The second is a trusted ally to deliver the scroll to Cyber, telling him it's something else (like say a banishment scroll). A third element might be yet another mage to provide misleading information about the scroll (ie The title is Banishment, the paper radiates magic, I sense a connection to the nether planes, etc).
I've already been talking to Gamer Zombie about his characters role (trusted ally who delivers the package) in all of this.
If you're interested, Gotham Witch can either be contracted to create a scroll to specification or can be contacted to reveal what she can on it.
This won't be a long or involved plot. More of a mini-plot, actually.
Either way, it can wait until after you folks are done with whatever is going on in Maine with Holister.

This could be done before they go to Maine, or after. How you wish to work her into this is up to you.

Aside from that, GW would not mind one or two extra bodies to see about the Maine thing. Her and Slayer will be heading out on Friday and would welcome anyone wanting to meet them to help. She plans to approach this one, very, very carefully.
Meanwhile, going to take a few days to have her finish a few more case file posts before going on 'job'.

Re: Lazlo Plot lines for June
Thanks for starting this thread, Heavy C.
Professor Ali is available again if anyone has need of an expert on Middle Eastern lore and history. Raven has pulled back to a strictly administrative role for the time being. He is heading up the new After Midnight News Agency (in Boxed Nightmares 2 which has been turned over to Wayne). He will still drop into the .org from time to time just to be snooty.
