You'll have to point out where it says that, as I've never seen it and I've most of the Palladium books up until the Tolkeen war.

It's 'canon', not 'cannon'. A cannon is a big gun like on pirate ships, canon is what you mean when referring to something as being contained within one of the books such as how many dice to roll for a stat.

I remember reading that in Mutants in Orbit I think. I can't quote pages and might just be wrong. Its been years since I opened that. But I want to say that's where I saw it.

It's also a common theme in other games. Shadowrun particularly said this, to the point that a Mage taking a suborbital flight needed to be careful trying to access the astral plane in flight or risk insanity.

I can't find it in Mutants in Orbit, if such a limitation exists it's so obscure to be pretty much non-existent.

In the RDF Accelerated Training course. They have a demerit system in it that causes you to lose xp should you violate it. IIRC, the biggest penalty is -100 points, and technically it only applies to characters undergoing the training, but you can still earn those negative points.

Only being partially familiar with the combined Robotech universe timeline these days, it could be the SDF-2 which was sent out to colonize with 80,000+ people onboard and was never found again (Not the Harmony Gold version mind you I believe). Also Atlantis has transformable mecha ... hmmmm :)

not in robotech or original macross, actually. in robotech the SDF-2 is specifically said to have been destroyed (although where this unseen starship was parked remains a point of debate)

in macross the SDF-2 was built to look way different from what the Splynn artwork resembles.

Macross Frontier gave us some SDF-1 looking ships that probably could be used if you really wanted to, and of course the DoYouRememberLove/Macross II timeline had the ship it's SDF-1 was built from as a semi-common meltran warship..

Not long after the book came out Kev and I were talking about artists paying homage to people in the art, and I pointed it out to him; it was one of the last pieces of art Long did for him and he remembered Long hinting at doing something like that, but he had never noticed it himself before I pointed it out.

canon supplimentary material for macross details how the unfinished earth built copy of the SDF-1 macross was finished as the SDF-2 Megaroad colony vessel.

macross frontier shows us the SDF-4 Global, which was a copy of the SDF-1 macross... i assume the writers for macross intentional avoided using the designation "SDF-3" in any show to avoid even indirect connection to robotech.

canon supplimentary material for macross details how the unfinished earth built copy of the SDF-1 macross was finished as the SDF-2 Megaroad colony vessel.

macross frontier shows us the SDF-4 Global, which was a copy of the SDF-1 macross... i assume the writers for macross intentional avoided using the designation "SDF-3" in any show to avoid even indirect connection to robotech.

Then wouldn't they avoid the SDF-4 use also since it's in the 85ep dialogue IIRC (the old timers episode) and IINM it's also in TSC (granted TSC may be "newer" than M:F in release). It was also connected with RT in older materials to (that aren't part of canon anymore).

Considering the shape the world was in and how they didn't have a full understanding of the technology in the first place I've always wondered how they could build a complete copy of the SDF-1 let alone several.

It's 'canon', not 'cannon'. A cannon is a big gun like on pirate ships, canon is what you mean when referring to something as being contained within one of the books such as how many dice to roll for a stat.

Okay....maybe this one counts as an obscure piece of information:

In one of the Books, there is actually a picture of XY, the Great Old One.
(And as soon as I find out which Book it is, I'll let you know; I can't remember right now.)
The Kevinomicon, Book of Siembieda 3:16.

16 Blessed art Thou above all others, O COALITION STATES, beloved of Kevin;

17 For Thou art allowed to do Evil without Limit, nor do thy Enemies retaliate.

18 Thy Military be run by Fools and Dotards.

19 Yet thy Nation suffers not. Praise be unto Him that protects thee from all harm!!

Dang it, I can't find the picture of Xy.

IIRC, it's in one of the Books, on one of the very first pages (as in, the List of Credits).

It's a small picture of a vaguely humanoid, multi-eyed and multi-tentacled......thing....and at the bottom of the small, rectangular picture, in even smaller print below it is the word "Xy."
