See Aura would work; Chameleon is just physical camouflage.

This... See Aura allows its user to see the (normally) invisible aura surrounding all living things... Chameleon only works to hide the physical body. The same concept also applies to using See Aura against Invisible opponents. If memory serves however, Psionic Invisible Haze counters a See Aura because it convinces the targets mind(s), via a powerful hypnotic suggestion, that the invisible person is simply not there rather than actually rendering the person invisible.

This be the answer put simply.
May you be blessed with the ability to change course when you are off the mark.
Each question should be give the canon answer 1st, then you can proclaim your house rules.

Every group has one problem player. If you cannot spot the one in your group; look in the mirror.
It is not a good session until at least one player looks you in the eye and says "you sick twisted evil ****"

Re: See Aura vs. Chameleon (Who Wins?)
I agree with those above but -
I would want to take this away in my games. The power is too obstructive to the chameleoned/invisible character (IMO). It's almost like thermoimaging type scope.
Because it is correct to see it, it is hard for me to come up with some BS as to why i wouldnt work. I think something along the lines of "line of sight" and until you can "see" them, you cant "see aura"

Re: See Aura vs. Chameleon (Who Wins?)
All things have auras, correct? I am going by recall here and dont have a book in front of me, and would also point out I might be getting auras in Rifts mixed up with other games like Shadowrun. This being the case, in my game I would probably rule that while the See Aura power is activated, the psionicist would have to concentrate on the object being viewed due to the number of auras visible. If an object is invisible, a percpeption check to notice the out of place aura would be called for.
My non-canon view is that the auras aren't vibrant and in clear focus until concentrated on.
Strictly canon, unless the power specifically hides the aura, the aura would be visible.

SemperSarge wrote:However, I'm less inclined to believe that 'See Aura' can be used to defeat 'Invisibility' spells--as per the same logic. An individual using an invisibility spell is, well, not visible. Thus, I would argue that his aura is not visible either. Plus, there is a specific spell, 'See the Invisible', that allows you to see invisible individuals / things. Now if you casted both 'See Aura' and 'See the Invisible', then I'd say you can view the Invisible individual's aura no problem.
I ran into this issue last evening in PFRPG... Luckily the PC was hiding behind something, so I just rolled perception and the NPC failed, so I didn't have to make a ruling on it. Dodged a bullet there, I hate house rules.
