I have a few questions about certain rules. First is regarding the auto kick. Auto dodge and auto parry take up no action, but the auto kick is still unclear. What exactly is the auto kick?
My second question deals with parrying. Characters with hand to hand training can parry without using an action, but how many attacks can they parry? Is it the same as auto dodge where they can attempt each attack, or is it more limited like only being able to parry once total, or once for each arm?
Another rule is about combat. This argument has been going on between and friend and I for ever it seems. The best way to explain the problem is with an example: Guy A and guy B are fighting while guy C stands back and watches. Guy A has 6 attacks, guy B has 5 and guy C has 7 attacks. As the fight goes on, guys A and B have used up 4 attacks each and guy C wants to join in. Here is the question: how many attacks does guy C get? Does he get all 7 attacks because he has not expended any energy or does he only get 3 of his attacks because, even though he has not participated in the fight, time has still passed for him? Please help to settle this argument once and for all.
A final question is again about combat: During combat, when rolling to strike, are bonuses applied before the roll or after? In other words, melee attacks require a 5 or higher and ranged requires 8, if I roll a 3 but have a bonus of +6 for a melee roll, does it count as a strike, and for ranged, if I roll a 7 but have a bonus of +3, does it count as a strike or is it a miss?

Auto kick (like what's presented for gymnastics and acrobatics) just means that by selecting those skills, you have gained a kick attack. It still requires an attack/action to use.
In regards to parrying, if I recall correctly, there is a canon answer to this. A character who has auto-parry (which is ANYONE trained in hand-to-hand combat) can parry any and all attacks that they are AWARE of and/or can see/sense. For example, a juicer can auto-parry/auto-dodge any and all attacks leveled against him. It's an OCC ability. However, a headhunter who has no such ability, can only attempt to parry attacks that he can see coming. If he's surround by 4 other combatants... Chances are he can't keep an eye on all of them. I'd say, as a general house rule, 2-3 attacks can be parried at a time. Unless you have circular parry.
Guy C has forefitted his attacks in that time frame. He basically just threw them away by holding off doing anything.
All bonuses/modifiers are applied. Unless SPECIFICALLY stated otherwise. But keep in mind, a natural 1 will ALWAYS be a natural 1 and a natural 20 will ALWAYS be a natural 20.
Hope this helps.
