Your first step might be researching types of spiders on the internet to find names of larger variety spiders.

The Spulk! :D

More seriously, a quick wiki check reveals that the largest spiders in the world are the Giant Huntsman and Goliath Bird Eater - Huntsman and Goliath aren't bad names, though the second one's been used by Marvel. Though that guy was murdered by cloned Thor and buried under a tarp, so you're okay to steal it!

If spidery names aren't working for you, let's try thinking about your hero's abilities...he's strong, climbs up walls - Death-Grip? Clamber? Mountaineer? Cragsman? Cliff Hanger? :-)

Marvel can't possibly trademark Goliath, as it's public domain (the Bible is a pretty old piece of literature, it turns out). Goliath would be safe. Now, if you made Goliath to be a former archery hero prior to his getting size changing powers, that would be another story altogether.

That said, I like Arachnor, personally.

The type of spider he is partly is trap door spider. He doesnt have or use webs. So hes more a physical spider instead of a web user.

Military Rank + Anything = appropriate superhuman code name. Bonus points for alliteration. I like Commodor Crush!

Spider hulk, spider hulk, does whatever a spider hulk does.

They did have that happen in the comics, Spider-man used a device to drain energy from the hulk but it had damaged shielding so we got an issue or two of 'Spider-Hulk' transformations before he reversed it.

Something back in the 90s I believe, way way before the character derailment of One More Day. They also did a 'Spider-Lizard' stunt too.

Within the last couple of years, there was a stretch where everyone got affected by gamma rays. Captain America, Thor, Spidey, everyone.

Template swaps/combining was happening quite a bit in the 90s I think. Captain America got to spend time as 'Captain Ameriwolf' courtesy of a villain that used John Jameson's latent werewolf nature left behind from all his years with that moon stone to infect dozens as he turned them all into werewolves. Naturally that was really stupid deliberately infecting the good captain as while it dropped his intelligence some it just left him even more unstoppable adding werewolf super-powers on top of what he already had.

This wasn't the 90s, though. This was waaaaaay back in 2010.

The largest spiders are tarantulas, with the largest known as the Goliath Bird-Eater.

Might one inquire, with hopes to an acceptable answer in return, as to what language that is?

Hmm, the hero doesn't have webs?
He should get a goo shooter like the Spider(the pulp hero, not Marvels guy).

And why not just call him Tarantula?
OR Crab spider?

Well his name isnt something hes going to pick. This is a name that the public would label him as. A monstrous hulking spider like creature.

Well, to be fair, it's probably better to say that a news guy or internet geek will slabel him with a name that sticks.
Hmm, Tarantula/Crab spider could still work.
