Changing Psychic Body Field

I dont know about you all (whomever you may be) but I have never really been happy with Psychic Body field, it is too expensive for what it provides, particularly in SDC settings.

As a GM I usually like to modify it to half the ISP cost, and in SDC settings give it at least an additional 50-100 SDC to start with.
However I find this a hard sell to make to many GMs when I am a player.

Are these unreasonable changes for what is pretty much the only personal/combat protection power a Master Psi can acquire?

Does anyone else mod this power?

Am I alone in how I feel about this power (would not be the first time)...

I always felt it was underpowered. it's okay for high levels but too costly for low levels. It's like armor of ithan, but costs more, has more penalties and fewer resistances.

I like to replace both armor of ithan and psychic body feild with Mystic Armor from heroes Unlimited and nightbane (and give PBF equivlent). that gives 100+10 per level

Half ISP Cost would be most logical. Or maybe give 50 SDC + 10 per level?

The balance versus Armor of Ithan used to be that psionics could be erected much faster than spells could.
