I like the limitation of not keeping your stuff, as it is written. It is one of the things that players will just have to learn to deal with.

As a player of Temporal Wizards, I don't like the idea that other casters can conveniently create d-pockets when morphing.

I don't care about canon answers. I'm interested in good, well-reasoned answers and, perhaps, a short discussion of how that answer is supported or contradicted by canon.
If I don't provide a book and page number, then don't assume that I'm describing canon. I'll tell you if I'm describing canon.

Re: Metamorphosis FIX - Keeping Your Clothes
So every time they use this option, there's a constant 5% chance that one of the temporal classes will come along and just steal everything? Why, are the temporaal classes so common in your world that they are like "the boogymen" hiding behind every closet door? Are your characters always carrying such awesome stuff that a passing temporal wizard or raider couldn't help but feel compelled to take it all?
What I'm getting at is that I don't think your 5% rule is necessary. Aren't they spending the 20 P.P.E. to ensure they can keep this stuff? If my choices were "let your stuff drop to the ground, where you and/or your friends still can have control of it," or "pay 20 more P.P.E. and just deal with a flat 5% chance that all your stuff will be gone forever," then I would never pay that extra 20 P.P.E..

I prefer the resource management method the book supplies.

Every group has one problem player. If you cannot spot the one in your group; look in the mirror.
It is not a good session until at least one player looks you in the eye and says "you sick twisted evil ****"

Re: Metamorphosis FIX - Keeping Your Clothes
You could also just create a variant of the spell that changes the clothes along with the body of the target.
May you be blessed with the ability to change course when you are off the mark.
Each question should be give the canon answer 1st, then you can proclaim your house rules.

Thats a good idea... I'm trying to find a plausible way to make this spell work using the existing magic physics of PB.
Just a quick note...
This is not that big an issue for Dragons they automatically know a D-pocket spell (see Dragons and Gods for details).

So what would you instead suggest as some possible disadvantages or dangers of using this, then? I am looking for some.
A disadvantage is that you now have 20 P.P.E. less than you would have otherwise, because you spent 20 P.P.E. more than the base spell required you to. You're trying to give a bonus to your players with this - so let it be a bonus, not a way to screw them out of all their things.

There is the magic modifying rules in Through the Glass Darkly.
