Hey y'all. Where can I find a mini/model of an Alpha/Beta Combo?? Preferably in a store.

Hm... well, barring the "maybe we will, maybe we won't" situation with the Robotech RPG Tactics game's miniatures line, you don't really have many options on that front. MOSPEADA (RT's New Gen) was never very prolific on that front, so the only commonly available models are the 1/72 scale stuff most readily available (at a truly punishing price point) via Harmony Gold's eStore on Robotech.com. Those are probably a bit bigger than what you're looking for tho, right?

I never found 1/72 scale model kits for Mospeda while I was in Japan/Korea. I did find a 1/48 scale model kit of an Alpha. Now when looking for Macross 1/72 scale kits there were plenty to chose from.

If in fact there are 1/72 scale kits of Mospeada I WOULD NOT buy from Harmony Gold's eStore on Robotech.com. In fact avoid that store altogether because of the aforementioned steep prices. Look on ebay or if your really desperate look online for a model/hobby shop in Japan, find a phone number, and give them a call. Then hope you and somebody at the store share a common language.

you can find some larger scale models of the MOSPEADA Legios on amazon for decent prices. they are even transformable once assembled.

It the Tomahawk and Defenders are 'interchangeable' it probably means that the waist sections can be swapped out (not sure why they didn't include the Phalanx since is shares the same lower body as well).

That said the Alpha and Beta minis should be made with the feature to be connected to each other.

IINM the Beta is only in a gerwalk like mode once for VTOL so probably 3 modes for Alpha & 2 for Beta. Like the Super or Armored VFs, I would think the Alpha/Beta (fighter) & Alpha (Battloid) with Beta (fighter) would come later as a stretch goal if they were introduced. Also, it might be possible to put the Alpha & Beta together with the addition of a tiny bar.

I was wondering the same thing. I figured they pretty much did it this way for possibly a couple of reasons like they didn't have the Phalanx modeled out yet and wasn't sure if it would be interchangeable, they wanted two destroids to a set initially, and/or they thought it might use more plastic or more/larger molds so they didn't want to offer it in a 4 pack like the other two eventually were.
