The books do not specifically say if you can or not.

I don't see why you couldn't, as long as you have enough ISP to move the combined total weight.
Just my $.02

Just checked the FAQ boards. They say you can't use TK to fly, but this seems to be a "work-around". Your mileage/GM may vary.

was thinking more a "thors hammer thing"...tk item and hold on to it. and ya you bring up points on the ISP...I'll need to keep in mind my characters weight when I add up the cost.

I'd say the big limiting factor is how much weight can you TK and do you have the isp to do it. It wouldn't be so much flying as it would be hanging on for dear life as this thing drags you through the air (if we're going with the hammer model)

She has Super TK so I'm pretty sure she can for short hops fly now. later on as her ISP go up better distance. And ya, I figure safe to try both methods as large flat and relatively flat objects can be used for flying or rather lifting aggressively.

I still like the idea. It's inventive if not totally original. I can picture Thor "flying" along, or Magneto "riding" on a chunk of metal (aren't comics a great resource?). To me, I think it works. Have fun with it.

Yes, you can.
For that matter, you can move yourself directly using telekinesis.
The speed of flight is determined by the Range of the power: you can move one Range increment per attack.
I'd link to the Topic where we discussed this ad nauseum, but the site won't let me Search right now.
You've been around. Take my word on this one.

I let stone masters do it. It's not fast or very effective over all, so I haven't got any reason to say no.

The interesting thing about TK is presumably throwing a rock 200 feet is just as damaging as throwing it 2 feet. I'm not sure why. I guess there's something about it which negates the concept of acceleration and instates a fixed velocity, in spite of moving a rock entirely different distances in a single melee attack.

It just speeds up the process is all. You can adjust the speed to any point in between and literally select your damage range. So much better than firearms..

Probably the same stuff that negates all those other pesky real world physics issues that come up in the game....."ease of play" I mean yah you CAN have a game that figures the difference between small fast objects damage, and large slow ones, or sharp cuts vs blunt impact, vs stabs, vs burns, vs chemical vs.....(trust me I have played some of those) but they are rather unwieldy for many things, one of which is fast cinematic style play (Like the Palladium system is based around) since I would assume most of the Palladium System gamers don't want collections of rule books the size of phone books......yah, many simplifications will be made.

Seems the case with magic and Psionics. Chi atleast has more thorough system on I'd like to add to magic and psionics.

Yes you can (have to calculate the complete weight and check it against the level of the telekinesis).

Make it 4. Expensive, but doable.

Let's not forgot the Telekinesis spell and the Nightlord's ridiculous broken enhanced version of it (multiplying weight capacity by ten and then ALSO multiplying the damage done by ANY weight)

I haven't encountered this yet in my game, but it is interesting to note that Telekinesis: Simple only has a 10lb tolerance, so if some smart guy drops an 11 lb rock on you or your telekinetically enchanted self or object, you lose control. Then you'll need to sort out 're-catch' rules. Telekinesis: Super has a tolerance of 100lb, so it's a fair bit better, but same danger does apply.
I haven't decided yet if I would allow flight for Super tk only, or both...
By the book, you can use either TK or Super TK to fly, assuming you use enough to lift yourself, but it's not that practical with normal TK.
Say you weigh 250 lbs including gear.
With Super TK, you'd use 30 ISP to move 100' per level per attack for 2 minutes per level.
So at first level, you could fly a total of 3200' or so (100' x 4 attacks per melee x 8 melees) from one use of the power.
That's something like 53.33'/second, or about 36.3636 mph.
With normal TK, you'd use 33 ISP, and you could move only 15' per attack for 2 minutes per level.
So at first level, you could fly a total of 480' or so (15' x 4 attacks per melee x 8 melees) from one use of the power.
That's about 4'/second, or 2.7273 mph.

Not to dispute your overall point, but I think you have a math error here.
3200 ft / 120 seconds = 26.66 ft/sec, or about 18.18 mph.
And I noticed that this becomes a much more viable way to travel as the character levels up. By level 5, that same ISP gets the character 15.2 miles in 10 minutes, or a speed of 90.9 mph. At level 10, it jumps to 60.6 miles in 20 minutes, or 181.8 mph! (Note - I kept the number of attacks constant at 4.)

Yup!
With normal TK, though, it doesn't advance much.
The range never increases, so it's always just 15' per attack. You can increase your number of attacks, but that's only going to get you so far.
